If you notice if you've seen the video that the plane is not slowing down at all like the engines are still going. Never back off on the throttle

Not possible. Even so , it can still be deployed manually. And plane was way to fast to land on that short runway .Serious pilot error here if you ask me .And no foam on runway and no emergency called .

How does a bird strike cause a gear failure? Gear controls and mechanics are all tucked away. Explain no flaps and spoilers.

Another pilot channel theorized that if a bird strike caused an engine failure the Jeju plane pilot or co-pilot may have shut off the wrong engine instead of the faulty engine! That this may have affected the hydraulics.
