First/Demo test of sorts Honestly_ -assuming that Flint -_-was gonna actually create MORE of these things to eventually have people use this in places where Food would've became scarce-_- (and -*_-MAYBE-_*_- something that could also be his equivalent to a water filter and reconstitutior alongside it,since he could've had the foresight of-__ "O-oh, yeah-I forgot! Maybe it should come with a water reconstitutior as well,I should probably build a similar device to go with it, apparently!" as well,apparently;_ Little side note: _There _*_WAS_*_ an episode of the Cloudy Prequel series that involved Flint building essentially what I _would probably consider as the FLDSMDFR'S spiritual predecessor,referred to as the FLUP-Flint Lockwood Universal Plentifulier,as I recall correctly here-which could, technically, plentfy ANYTHING, including Food/Drink apparently.._ Unless *_MOST of the Townsfolk of/in Swallow Falls had to leave due to the lack of Jobs in-town here and they had to essentially take their respective FLUPs with them alongside their families and/or whatnot_* -I'm _gonna bet that Flint would've at LEAST reconsidered notifying the folk in Town whom still owned these things to utilize them_ until he _could create/WHILE he was _*_creating the FLDSMDFR in the meantime_*_ at some point_ before the *Town's finances went belly up,the Dockworkers whom imported food and the last of the unwanted Sardines TO the island fishing-community before bailing altogether anyways and whatnot that led to the Town ending up like in the film proper sometime before,then yeah maybe* ...Or, _more realistically here,If I was Flint and was probably boredly scouring the internet for parts/looking for any of his old inventions and scrap metal that he was selling online here got a buyer,etc on the down-low after working at the Tackle shop/Sardinni's..and had stumbled upon an Ebay-or whatever the CWACOM equivelant is/was in this universe respectively-bidding auction and/or selling of a particular Invention of mine that universally plentifies getting sold for some freaking price,_ I'd *_be shocked that one of the Former Townsfolk whom skedaddled off to the mainland for work with his/her family in-tow honestly STILL had the Damn thing..also,mildly pissed that still,Nobody KNOWS how to use the damn thing regardless of whether they knew what the hell it was_* here,honestly...) so he _would've had to work out the kinks BEFORE ever thinking of making another FLDSMDFR machine or Two,seeing if the first one was probably successful in the testing faze with the PROTOTYPE here_ before_ making (the) more polished version, *_INCLUDING it's/HER AI/OS programming system in-order to see if could adapt to such things honestly..!_* TL;DR: *_LONG story short-Along with a reference to Cloudy the Series episode "Flint's biggest Flup" and the possibility of him building also a water reconstitutior device alongside to go with,The FLDSMDFR machine was TECHNICALLY a working prototype that probably hadn't had the kinks worked out yet, especially with such a massive order that the Sea-Cucumber of a Mayor/Former Mayor of their respective Town here obviously ordered and eventually screwed up the entirety of the world from being pelted with Giant,super-mutated Food rain/Leftovers all-over the world here,and Flint would've created more for everyone else's usage until Swallow Falls' Food scarcity and financial situation blew over here,honestly... Basically what I'm saying here is that Flint would've loved to build more of these,he just needed the prototype to work effectively BEFORE eventually going onto his next plan of action for his Town here apparently,honestly._*
