I've never been atracted to the Nuvolo pens, so I think I would have been unimpressed also. It does help; sometimes; to set a pen aside for a few days. I find that if I'm tired from work and open a new pen, that my reception of that pen may not be totally favorable. My mood can get in the way. Your ink choice was PERFECTION!

You are so right - I never thought about my mood or exhaustion level affecting my initial feelings. I'm so glad I set this one aside and didn't send it back. I obviously liked it enough to give it a second chance! And I'm glad I did! Honestly it's grown on me so much, and I'm really enjoying it. The ink is GORGEOUS and is flowing so well, even in this EF nib! Thanks Teresa!

I understand your initial disappointment. From all the pics I have seen with the blue one and now this lilac one, there is a lot more balance with the white and the color. Any swirly pen is always such a gamble. I hope you enjoy the pen in the long run.

I'm glad you get it! It helped me a lot to see the promo photo that looked so much like mine. So much so that I recorded a whole new video after seeing the promo photo. This pen has quickly grown on me - the color is just gorgeous! I'm enjoying it already!

Thank you, Cory! I've been using it the last couple of days, and I've fallen for it already! It's beautiful! I think I just needed to sit with it for a little while. Seeing the stock photo that looked so much like my pen really helped!

I just got mine in as well AMD was ver surprised that the bottom was mostly purple too😂😂😂😂. I made the store retailers bring out five models for me to chose from 😅😅😅 to get the original one I got🙃

It's such a pretty shade of purple! I'm like you - very particular and often a bit disappointed when what I get doesn't match the promo images I fell for. Sometimes I can just give it time and eventually forget about the expectation I had and learn to love the unique one I got. Other times it goes back haha.

It's such a struggle, because I love all the swirly pens! Yes, the best thing for me is to be able to zoom out and stop nit-picking small details and decide if I can appreciate the pen apart from what I expected. I've either sent back or quickly sold quite a few pens I just couldn't fall in love with. This one is making the cut, though - I'm really enjoying it right now! Glad I'm not alone in this, though!
