I am still blown away at how much Vaughan and MDC cares. They are a business that thinks of the long game and how to take care of people so they can be around forever!

It’s amazing how just the little details can make such a difference in off road trailers. I am a huge fan of MDC!

Shane just wanted to say, another banger of a video!!! Especially with the XT12 too!!! When I looked at the XT16, a month ago, the caulking caught my attention as well. Originally I said to myself, what the heck?! Now that Vaughan had addressed it, it all makes sense now, thanks you for that. I truly hope that a small fridge can be placed where the tall closet/storage is in the future! 🙏 I can’t wait till you do the in-depth video on the XT12!!! 🥰🥰 I hope you guys will be at the Overland East Expo and have the XT12 available to physically check out! Thank you again Shane and your team for all the great videos and content! 🙏

I love the vent feature that when traveling on dirt roads, the air pressure circulates and vents out so it keeps dust out the trailer. So important for people with asthma and other breathing problems.

I'm so impressed with the quality of my new MDC van & the available support is fantastic! The first thing l did was watch all Steve Zammit's master-class videos while l was waiting for my van to arrive. This is my first van after many years of research & looking at many on the market. I couldn't be happier with my choice. My MKlll 16ft island is incredible & l wouldn't hesitate to recommend MDC to anyone.

I have been in heavy industrial construction my whole life. The fact that they only dip into cleaned zinc baths is unheard of.. I don’t think I can emphasize this enough. That is probably the single greatest indicator of attention to detail and thoroughness… I am sold….

Did I hear him correctly. MDC unit's are made in China?

I’ve been operating Architectural Metal and Installation business for 35 year. Incorrect - Zinc Dipping will wear off !! Stainless Steel Type 304 for ultimate corrosion resistance and use 3/16” or 1/4” - will last forever. Shane and MDC is full of it !!
@ROAOffRoad3 ай бұрын
@@blusky1199 Yeah. Obviously, stainless steel is better than galvanized. Nobody is going to build a trailer of stainless. Not only would the cost be ridiculous, but it would be stupid. We didn’t say it could not rust ever. Galvanization makes steel corrosion resistant for many years compared to exposed steel or painted. For working with metal, you don’t seem to be very knowledgeable about what most people are doing in the trailer industry. Almost, Nobody does zinc dipped certainly not stainless.

I like the quality control! I would like to see more of a full time trailer in size with same capabilities. Maybe closer to 27/28 feet. True walk around queen, or twin beds, and large fresh and grey tanks with heating pads. All in a trailer that is rated for a 0-100+ temperature rating. I prefer a non flushing toilet as it is.

MDC, Black Series and all these other companies with trailers that have extended roofs really need to figure out a way to make one that fits through a standard 7' suburban household garage door (not those all-canvas types). They'd make a killing.

I love them all! So much attention to detail that I wanted to ask, is there a cover for the step well inside? I noticed in another video that when standing at the sink it’s possible to slip your foot of the edge and maybe hurt an ankle 🤷🏻♀️ then in this video seeing you with one foot in it and the other up on the floor made me think, yes that definitely is a possibility.

My offroad trailer didn’t even come with steps I had to go and buy a stool. Although I have had to rebuild just about anything inside my trailer and anything screwed riveted or bolted to the outside.

So you send it to China to be built for less. Then charge ridiculous prices and call it a quality product. If it was made exclusively in Australia I'd be glad to own one. Not buying something made exclusively in China.
