I was a boy in the Seventies. Every adult woman was like that. All the girls came and played with us. And every woman in town was our mother. Just like Russell when you got in trouble. lol. I knew damn well that if the woman next door or if any woman anywhere raised her voice, I'd do just like Russell, "Yes, Ma'am." lol. Otherwise they let us play. It was a good world back then. Hope you're world is going groovy.

The Cleveland Public Hall, where they would have done this concert (and where it's filmed, I think) is just a great, old school rock venue. When the inductions are in Cleveland they're done at Public Hall and you can tell the artists from the pre-arena rock era feel right at home.

This is such a spooky scene. It is so realistic because nothing comes out of it. Many movies would have the rocker enlist in the army after listening to that "person of substance" line from Frances. In this movie, the man is "spooked out" for a moment but doesn't change. The truth is change due to one line is difficult.

People weren't talking a certain way, wagging their fingers and swaying their heads when arguing or talking and we didn't have to worry about 'something' happening at the theater).....and I've seen it so many times since and yes, of course it's a masterpiece and yes, Penny Lane - was amazing. BUT........the Mom - -- it just now hit me how amazingly well she played the part -- all scenes. In this scene it's great - after chewing him out she says "be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid" - lol shit on him then sprayed air freshener all over him.
