Wearing layers of clothes to hide yourself is a choice. The religion we follow it commands us to adopt modesty in our lives. We wear modest clothes which do not appeal men to look at us disrespectfully. As well it helps creating a society where there is less lust in eyes and less temporary relationships among people. And by modest clothes we mean to hide our hair, skin & curvy body parts because its not for public the beauty of a woman belongs solely to her husband in our religion. Its not opression its not what our husbands brothers or fathers ask us to do its what our religion demands and its our choice that we follow it.

It’s not exactly specified, but most likely yes. I think so because you’re changing yourself from how God wants you to be (I know it’s not necessarily changing yourself physically but it’s believing you’re an animal as far as I know). There’s differences between humans and animals in Islam so it just doesn’t generally line up, but I’d look it up on an authentic website or ask a sheikh.

Okay I did some research and apparently, it’s halal (but still disliked:) as long as you follow some guidelines: not doing anything sexual with it, especially 🌽, not bothering others, keeping up with your prayers, and being productive.

It’s mandatory but you cannot be forced. It’s like you choose whether or not you fast but you get sins if you don’t do it for reasons that aren’t justified.
