There are three things that needs to happen or India has to aim at. 1. The format of Indian Football needs to gets sorted out very soon. 2. India needs to aim for Top 70 or under in FIFA rankings and should try to maintain that position. Not just give a guest appearance. This will attract outside clubs to pick up Indian players. 3. India needs to remove the restriction on Indian players playing abroad. Yes, it needs an amendment and also it'll be most useful once we complete the point 2 but we still have many Indian players abroad even now. This is it! We just needs to sort out our shit.

If he was so high quality then why did he not get a chance in some other EPL club ? Why did he warm the bench at stabaek for 3 years in a row ? East Bengal made him the player who got a call from stabaek and wigan. And stabaek made him a player who had nowhere to go except returning to India. Bro, don't you think India should remove restrictions on playing abroad atleast for football players. This isn't cricket. India has a lot of experience in cricket. So, restricting cricketers to play abroad is fair. Moreover, no Indian cricketer wants to play abroad because India is best at it and no other country lays stress on cricket. But India really has to remove restrictions for footballers because even though there are restrictions, India is improving at a observable pace in football. Think of time when restrictions are removed, Indian players in top European leagues and Indians anywhere in Europe are already Beasts because they got a lot of experience. On FIFA 16 I played my mate (I was good and had played it for years and he hadn't played before) so he was Barca and I was India and I put Gurpreet at striker and he was BEAST ever since we have worshipped him and used him whenever we get the chance on FIFA. Ranjit Bajaj is an asshole, who so gullible to think that he is the only one doing bits for football in India and AIFF is against him & his club. On the fact about passionate fans just see how great Jamshedpur FC and BFC is doing great, JFC's average attendance during ISL 5 was 24-25k for your information their stadium's capacity is about 25.5k. Wow, Gurpreet should be grateful, at the age of 18 he joined EB, because there was a separate goalkeeper coach, and his skills were nourished well during those crucial age for 2-3 years. Obviously no team will want to loose a main player during AFC cup. This defines your success, they didn't want substitute. You had a dream to train in foreign, you have accomplished it. He can't make it in Europe cuz he is significantly poor with his feet and his passing is poor ,modern football needs gks who are good with their feet anf passing accuracy and build up the play from the back

East Bengal was the club which gave a rookie goalkeeper like you a platform, not to mention regular first team appearances, to show your talent to the selectors and other scouts and shine at National and later International stage. East Bengal was the club, which gave you the opportunity to showcase yourself in front of John Burridge, who ultimately was impressed with your raw skills and arranged for a transfer to Wigan Athletic. Your horrendous mistakes, committed at the crucial juncture of I-League, cost us the league trophy not once but twice, but you continued to appear for the team. Imagine committing the similar mistake playing for your cherished Wigan Athletic, and how you would have been allowed to play thereafter by them. The club didn't let you leave because we didn't had a good goal keeper back then apart from you. So, should we think that you deliberately made those mistakes as a matter of revenge? However, after leaving East Bengal you were only 22 years of age. Young enough for a goal-keeper. You were free to sign for any team in the world. Then why you didn't get the call-up from Wigan Athletic that time, if they really though of you as premier league standard?? European clubs are known for waiting long time for their targeted recruits. So, why didn't they wait for you? After this, you managed to sign for a European club, Stabaek Fotball in the Norwegian League. you stayed there for close to 3 years from 2014-2017. Can you tell us how many league appearances you made for them ? Stats we can retrieve from online sources tell that you, with your premier league potential, couldn't manage a single league appearance. The only FIFA recognized match you played for was a match in Europa League, in which your team lost and you were substituted after just 30 minutes on the pitch. When you left Stabaek, you were 25 years of age. Again young enough for a goal-keeper. So why you, with 'European Experience' behind you, didn't decide to pursue a career in some other European club?? Weren't you confident of your 'Premier League Potential' after warming the bench for 3 years at stabaek?? From East Bengal you went to Stabaek, and from Stabaek you came back to Bengaluru FC. So, kindly tell us which transfer was a positive and which was a negative one? These are bitter facts Mr. Gurpreet. However we do not remeber you for these 'achievements'. We had good moments with you for the club and also for the NT. But then, no individual is bigger than the club. So when you decided to malign the club when it is celebrating its 100 years of foundation, I as a supporter had to write this as a show of protest towards your remarks. It is easy to defame others and find faults, but it takes guts to recognize the efforts.

Some people love to give excuses and put blame on others for their own failures. Gurpreet left East Bengal at the age of 22. If he was so high quality then why did he not get a chance in some other EPL club ? Why did he warm the bench at stabaek for 3 years in a row ? East Bengal made him the player who got a call from stabaek and wigan. And stabaek made him a player who had nowhere to go except returning to India. Why Bengaluru FC couldnt find an EPL club for him ?? Go ask them. East bengal did the right thing to hold on to him because they knew he was going to warm benches at wigan and ultimately perish. That was what happend at stabaek. However some people like you love to jump on any opportunity to try to malign Bengal clubs. So shameful of you. We never try to malign any club be it an Indian club or foreign. But hate mongers like you always reveal how filthy your minds are.
