I have seen a LOT of your videos; but this was by far the best one yet! It was special because it was so much more educational than the rest. You have a special gift that allows you to break a complicated circuit down to it's most basic elements. Explaining the basic foundation, how that works, and then 'grow' that basic design step by step, so everyone can watch the evolution of that basic circuit into the completed project. And you did it in just enough detail to be able to teach without overwhelming anyone in the process. Transitioning from the bi-stable to astable, to Royer quickly and seamlessly... As a 75 year old former Bell Labs design engineer and college electronics instructor, I tip my hat to you. You have a rare gift and you should continue to expand on it!

The heavy duty ones usually use copper tubing for the induction coil, then they run coolant through the tubing to stop it melting. But on the other hand that's at a bit different current rating. Models for heating up and straightening truck axles, for example, often push like a 1000 amps through the coil, which concentrate the heat onto a few square centimeters.

It’s not magic, it’s called induction. When the comment is first entered, KZbin resists the flow of time, but quickly gives in and allows the comment to pass into existence. But as soon as the transfer of information is over, KZbin again resists this change in the flow of time, overcompensating and shooting the comment further back in time than the point at which it was entered. Simple science.
