There are quite a few of these ST19 chronos out there now. I have had the Phylida and the Sugess ST19 chronos. I sold the Sugess, kept the Phylida. It is made quite a bit better. Whats in a name...I would take quality over a name.

LOL. I get it. I think the same issue could’ve happened to any Sugess…. I’ve had a Tissot with dust on the dial from jomashop. The name was just a secondary point..

Great review and what a beautiful watch specially with your straps, the black and the gray ones suit it so well.! If I had to be picky I feel like the pulsation track is too thick but maybe I need to see it in person to really knnow 🧐

As long as one owns a youtube-wide recommended Seagul 1963, I do not see any reason to buy more watches of the kind. Would I stare at 2, 3 or 4 same movements? Rather not. So, are the case and the dial worth $250?

I definitely understand your point, however a lot of people would buy a similar watch with a seiko meca quartz movement for the panda or reverse panda for just a hair less, but the column wheel is still in my opinion better. A similar comment could be made for the NH35

Hmmm. Not sure what you mean by "cheap chinese" that everyone has heard of. Perhaps you mean that people know of these watches and tht they can be purchased for a relatively low price? Personally I dont think that is necessarily a bad thing. Seestern makes a GS homage that is 200M WR, with the NH35 work horse in it, and it is a stunning looking watch, for less than $250. It is not a chronograph, but Sugese/Seestern make a ton of those with the Seagul movement in them, and all less than $250. It is hard for me to look down on someone buying these watches knowing that the quality is good, and they cost thousands of dollars less than those watches they homage. My "cheap Chinese" watches get the same wrist time my Omegas, JLCs, and GSs get, and I find that people who are interested in watches are just as curious about some of my less expensive watches as they are about my almost stupid expensive watches. Wear what you like and enjoy the watch for what it is, dont worry about the brand. Heck, most of my collection is Seiko, all types, and I would have no problem losing some of my more expensive watches, excluding the GSs, for more Seikos.

I don’t disagree with what you’re saying, I meant it as a general term when it came to Chinese watches. The watches I have that are lower in such a Pagani design, this chronograph, and a few other watches I wear every single day and only wear my Rolex. For instance, maybe a couple times a month.
