the best part about Tiana is her drive. the "advice" they were trying to give her throughout the movie was pretty much "your restaurant is too far out of reach. You don't need that. You should settle. That's what you need." But, if she did that, she wouldn't be happy. If everyone in the world just settled instead of striving for more, we wouldn't be so advanced today. What she was doing isn't bad. It's good, it how you succeed. I'm glad she got it anyway. Also they were also trying to tell her that what she "needed" was also a man. NOT EVERY WOMAN NEEDS A MAN. She DID NOT need a man to be happy. She had goals. That's healthy. She worked so hard for it, but then almost gave it all up for a man. How is that a good thing? Not to mention she would be changing the world. This was set in the 1920s, black people were in a horrible position at a time, not being seen as people. So a black woman being successful is a very inspiring and amazing thing. Strive, don't settle
