Alobe by L'Orchestre Negro Success reminds me of the good old days of the 1960s and 1970s when Kampala Nightclubs were the best in East Africa. Nightclubs such as White Nile Club, New Life Club near Bulange and Susanna Nightclub. Uganda Oyee!

Yes those days were the best. I know The White Nile very well I used to go to the teenage dance in the afternoon. The Cranes were playing by then. We can never forget those days.

My sister Josephine, this music takes me back when I was young enough to recall Music. My Aunties and Uncles back then enjoyed this type of Music in Uganda. Thank you for posting this precious Music. Much love from Canada.

When I listen to these songs they take me back to early 70s and it’s a very good feeling. You are welcome.
A good sample of how music can be sweet , filtered n cool from vocal to instruments. Not only is a pull back memory but pleases my day to day hilly emotional / mental tornados. Bravo Josephine

Reminds me Ntare School 1971. I was in S1. We had a school band and it used to play the song. Rwamaziba will solo, Owokuhaisa with rhythm, Taban with bass, Nasasira in the drum and Kajuga as leader singer. It was fun. This is what I call music.

I WAS AT ST FRANCIS COLLEGE NOW PUGU SECONDARY SCHOOL. NEGRO SUCCESS SONGS WERE FREQUENTLY PLA YED AT THE THEN RADIO TANZANIA BY THE THEN CEREBRATED RADIO ANNOUNCER ONE DOMINICK CHILLAMBO.

Yes! You treasured all these through those shaky years of wars and destructions in Uganda? It must have been an iron safety archive. Bravo! Bring more. Blessings

Thank you for appreciating, some of these songs remind us old good days. Unfortunately I wasn't able to preserve most of them. Hopefully over the years other people will come up with other gems.

Josephine Kiwanuka thanks a lot. You have done a masterpiece. If the old radio Uganda stations are still available, please check with them if some of those records exist in their archives.

I don't know how much the old radio Uganda may have but I am sure with You Tube we might find most of the lost gems as I am also looking for quite a few classics. I will never get tired of looking for them.

Nice song by Zozo and Orchestre Negro Success. The well-executed guitar riffs, tantalizing horns section and relaxed vocals stitches this classic in a harmonically balanced fabric of undisputed beauty. Thanks for this gem, Josephine!

Woo thanks Jason for the lovely description of these timeless classics, indeed they are still as lovely as they were back in those days where we enjoyed them to the full. Unfortunately some of them are not in good conditions so we have a long way to find better ones.
