Before you put fresh aloe vera gel in your 4c hair you should watch this, a game changer. This is the best no itch and no flake method for you coils and kinks. Have you ever had an itchy scalp result after using aloe vera on your natural hair? Well this might be the cause. Did you know fresh aloe vera can have poison in the leaf called "Aloin" aka "aloe latex"? This aloe latex has more harmful effects internally than it does externally. However, it can affect your skin in such a way that results in itchiness or rashes. If not cleaned out well your experience with using fresh aloe vera on your natural hair might not be as enjoyable as the majority. So watch this video for proper cleaning methods of the aloe vera leaf.
Do you have a whole bunch of white stuff in your hair after doing a aloe vera treatment? You strained it first and still get this pulp all in your hair? Well I might have the best method to strain aloe vera, avocado, or even flax seed. Click play and enjoy.

I have suffered hair breakage all my life. then I moved to the Caribbean from the UK where Aloe vera grows wild, so I potted some and use it on a regular basis and for the first tie in my life I have healthy shoulder-length natural hair. AMAZING!! It works like a dream. My hair stopped breaking, it's soft and I love it. I wish I have discovered it many years ago If anyone is hesitation DON'T!!/

The cleaning aspect was very eye opening. I had no idea there was a yellow substance within the leaf that could cause issues. That may have been the reason why I experienced itchiness years ago and subsequently stopped using it for awhile. However, I've currently been using aloe vera juice for my scalp & dreadlocks for the past 5 or 6 months. It's been life changing! It definitely clears up all scalp issues for me, lessens the amount of oils I use, and keeps my dreads from turning into a group of crispy strands...lol! Thanks for this great video!

Nappy Fu you are indeed extra and awesome lol. The 3rd and easiest option for those who may want a faster way is to simply peel the skin off, put the gel itself in some water and wash until the gel does not have any aloin, which takes about 30 seconds and it’s perfectly safe after that. The aloin or (bitter sap as otherwise known) has been used and is still used today medicinally as a laxative in many products and also naturally.

I've been wanting to use it orally but scared of the side effects i've read about. I also din't know the yellow stuff causes itching. Plus i don't normally soak mine cuz ain't nobody got time for that( wait now we actually do thanks to Covid quarantine) lol.

Hey NappyFu, greetings from Jamaica. I am blessed to have a lot of aloe vera plant in my yard. I used to blend and drink aloe vera but never used it on my hair until a couple years ago when I came across your videos, and I must say my hair took off growing like crazy, and is very healthy. Anyway, this is how I prepare the aloe vera. I always cut the aloe leaf and allow it to drain for about an hour or so to get rid of the yellow juice. After which, I clean the leaf, cut off the thorny parts then slice the leaf into sections and place the pieces into a bowl of clean water for a few hours. I find that this get rid of the rest of the yellow slime. Next, I cut the gel away from the green outer skin with a knife. I then blend the thick gel pieces and strain the juice through a stocking foot three times to make sure that I don't leave any of the fiber in the gel. My last step is sectioning my hair and saturate my hair with the gel and olive oil then cover my head with a plastic bag to pre-poo my hair over night. By the way, I also use the aloe juice mixed with water , essential oils, and other oils as a moisturizer which I keep in my fridge for several weeks. I also freeze some for further use. This has worked for me and has never spoiled.

@Jennyjen3442
@Jennyjen3442 Жыл бұрын
@@breaunablack3668 Sorry I missed your post. I have not being on here for a very long time. As per your question, once I strain the aloe vera gel to make sure no particles are left in it, I blend some of it with water to loosen it up then make enough to last me for a while. For example, 16oz aloe juice and add these oils extra virgin olive oil, sweet almond, jojoba, avocado oils about 1oz each and 2oz Jamaican black castor oil. I keep about 4oz in a spray bottle in the fridge to use a couple times per week as my leave in moisturizer, then I freeze the rest in seperate containers, and just grab one and let it thaw out when I need it. That way, I don't have to make it each time. Depending on the length of your hair, this should last you a couple months because a little goes a long way.

I've been watching many videos on Aloe Vera and you are the 1st person to really talk about the yellow substance. All I would see were people washing it. There was this one woman who said to make sure you wash off the yellow latex from the aloe, but the way she said it made it sound like it was some kind of pesticide on the skin and that all i had to do was scrub it very well. I'm beyond grateful that you explained this. I do have skin sensitivity (Eczema) and was thinking of making something for my skin, thank GOD i found you, who know what that yellow thing would of done to me.

My grandmother gave it to me and her 3 sons when they were growing up and I've never seen or heard of this yellow in the edges. You are probably buying aloe that has mega chemicals used in its growth. Even though you only see the yellow on the edges it has to be throughout the plant and leaves. PLEASE buy your aloe somewhere else!

I ALWAYS learn something new with your videos. You are very helpful. I appreciate all that you do. I bought an aloe vera leaf some time ago but did not know how to prep it. I never used it on me....lol. I ended up throwing the part I didn't use away. So now I know how to prep it before use. Thank you!

Thanks for this share; i was looking for a video to share with friends im introducing to Aloe Vera. Ive been using the Aloe method for at least 4 years. I wash my aloe throughly; but dont do the drain out method. Ive had no issues I cut if ALL the white but. I see your Aloe still had a skice of the white on.. next time i buy it, I i will try t drain method; ffor those just staring outi; ill get them into the that routine. I dont blend i cut the slice in half and hold the green part and rub it in. I have put awarning on this VT to my circle these are my church sister's ae range fro 16 - 70+ Words like sucker;or any cursing, joke or otherwise old school Christians they wont expect with a video that starts with a Bible verse is al. But Thank you😊

Nappyfu, thanks for the informative vid. I take a lot of meds for medical reasons, and the last thing I need is more poison in my body. I was getting ready to do my treatment today with the AV leaf and your vid popped up! Thank you Jesus! I would've been one itchy sister😂

I washed the outside of my aloe plant for 12 outside. After that I socked the inside (gel) and socked it then used it on my hair but that still caused rashes on my forehead, side of my face, neck and shoulders. They itch soo bad but my hair loved it.

Thank you for this video! I used the aloe leaf blended along with msm, castor and a few drops of peppermint oil on 4/4/20 and my scalp is highly irritated in certain areas. I will start from scratch with my regimen, aloe only and try your recommendation!

Great video, I enjoyed this a lot. It was very educational and insightful. I am new to using the aloe vera leave, I have been watching hair tutorials so I decided to buy some aloe vera leafs and today I cut one then when I saw the yellow juice coming out I was shocked 🙁because none of the aloe vera leaf hair tutorials mentioned this. So I KZbin search how to clean it and your video was one of the ones that popped up so here I am today. So I will use the 2 aloe vera leaf that I have left to follow your step by step process procedure. Sadly I threw away the aloe vera leaf extract gel because on my first try without knowing how to clean it. I watched your video so now I am aware how to do it. I want to use it for my hair. I am a black male who is growing my hair I also have kinky hair so maybe 4c curly hair. And I'd love to eventually get my hair like Corbin Bleu hairstyle the natural afro curl look with a leave in conditioner or simply 100 percent natural oils and a mixture of aloe vera gel. Thank you so much . I love your African accent. And you have a beautiful and eloquent singing voice. Would you say that Aloe vera gel helps with hair growth? Thank you, God bless❤🙏🙂👍
