Thank you Marie & Steve for sharing it does mean alot, sharing your gardening has help me with starting to grow my own food. Just to encourage you, I am about to harvest the rest of my grapes 🍇 before the winter hits, all thanks to you as I didn't have a clue what I was doing. But your encouragement gave me strawberries, peppers, tomatoes, blueberries, onions, thyme, parsley, oregano and pumpkin, grown in affordable pots earlier in the year, this is just to name a few.........I will be trying cabbage, lettuce etc.........before coming across your videos I wasn't growing anything (purchasing from the store you are not sure what you are getting, I have purchased tomatoes that I had on the kitchen counter for 2 months that didnt go off - that scare me). So, like Nehemiah in scripture, you are doing a great work, continue to build, and remain focus on your assignment. I look forward to watching your videos every day. I have learnt alot. Much appreciation for all you do.

Marie, thanks for putting this content out for us gardeners because I've thought about the aloe vera before but was too scared to try it. I'm hoping it works because I would be on it like Matlock. Don't worry about what anyone says about planting in tires. So many things are wrong out there that we should be concerned about as you so mentioned the fumes from gas and factories plus the burnt rubber from those same tires. If what you are doing brings you joy, feed yourself and your family and save some money in your pocket. Plant your food in whatever container you choose because if it could have grown in the rocks, you would have planted them there as well 😅 and it would still be food to feed you and your family. It doesn't change what it is because of what it is planted in. Happy gardening, Marie and Steve

Yes, indeed the aloe vera can be used as a natural repellant to insects and others to the plants. Using the extract of the aloe vera both skin and gel by blending it with water and used as a spray can also do. Some may use soap in the mixture, but I prefer being natural. In terms of the aloe vera, are you aware of the aloe ferox another species of the aloe family that is very powerful than all its companion? As most aloes originate from the mother continent Africa, I'm curious of that type which is not very common exist there in Jamaica which may be overlooked. Perhaps from your perspective you may want to do the nutritional value comparison of both, which I'm sure will be encouraging. Also, you can in your own time, enquire if that or other equivalent species of the powerful type exist in Jamaica, as most Jamaicans are familiar with the regular ones. I'm not here putting down undermining the common ones as they serve very well in health and other benefits as you're aware of. Thanks 👍🏿for sharing your garden, learning respectfully from your experience as well.
