@@tristanoce5233 You guys forget that not everyone plays the same every single game. There will be times when Alois beats potent, and theres times he will lose. That would be normal to happen in the highest of play, no? Dont forget potents setup is also way different, exhaust pta into riven. If you want to see limit testing and mechanics on riven rather than fundamentals watch wenshen very fun to watch, this guy has no fear and doesnt care about fundamentals it seems most of the time

why does he start long sword if he just buys dorans later? is it because then if he really snowballs he can skip dorans? even if, i feel like most games i watch of him he just does dorans anyways and the early lvls before first back are really important so the extra stats would be really crucial no? if someone know the thought process behind it

Can someone please explain to me why he started long sword only to buy Doran’s blade later? I thought the purpose of stating long sword was to get to ur first item faster, what’s the point if ur gonna get blade minutes later. Sorry I’m noob

Usually so you can short trade more due to 3 pots. If there is any other reason, then I am not aware

long sword + 3pot is more sustain over first few levels and if you create a lead you can go straight into the full item. doran's blade is a stat spike that can help lock in the next fight above your opponent's gold advantage if first few levels go poorly. that's my theory at least
