Thank you, sir, for the video. We are in fundamental denial about the state of the economy, aren’t we? Around 95% of people in India have a per capita income of just $1,100, which is lower than that of Bangladesh and even many African nations. This makes the majority of the country dirt poor, and you can clearly see its impact on consumption, corporate earnings, and overall growth. Another big issue is salaries and employment. Jobs aren’t being created at the needed pace, and salaries have stagnated. For example, when I got a campus placement in Infosys in 2003, the starting package was 3.6 LPA. Shockingly, it’s still the same today for freshers. The purchasing power of the majority hasn’t improved, except for the top 1-2% of people. Yet, no one wants to address these fundamental issues. Instead, we hear phrases like ‘India is the next America’ or ‘India is the next China.’ I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. Thank you again for the insightful video!

retail doesnt move the market , so how poor they are doesnt really tell us where nifty price should be. the instituions like hdfc lic icici or FIIs and their ease of access to liquidity decides the price of an instrument . when enough retail volume is invested in the market at a higher level , it gives an oppurtunity for these institutions to offload and distribute to retail ( book profits ) . the market has very little to do with economy or per capita income

the market is a money making instrument . when institutions can make more money selling the stocks , they will sell. when they can make more money on the upside , they will buy . bulls make money , bears make money , pigs get slaughtered . so dont get greedy . book profits when u can

Countries like China speak only about development & the likes. Whereas indian politicians are stuck more with Ram, caste, reservation & the likes. Despite that crap we are still at 24/25k, only because we best of worst pack. If we were like China, nifty itself would have been at 1 lac . As for our actions, we are close to some banana republic only. Thus our country's growth will always be stunted.

@ if 95 percent of people are extremely poor who will buy the company products and it will have impact on company earnings as we are seeing solid blue chip companies with HUL, nestle , Asian paints , Tata motor , hero motor etc…. Without warning stock prices will not move in long run

You need fine-tune your death cross analysis. Death cross to be effective both lines must be trending downwards. Suppose 200dma trending upward but 50dma croses it downwards then that crossing is invalid

You're absolutely right. Momentum investing is antithetical to value investing.. so greater chrurn (implied is shorter holding periods and higher transaction charges, higher taxes, unless you do thru Mutual fund) Momentum works best in raging bull market period and can generate good alpha..but no so good in corrections ..It will underperform benchmarks.. And it's reflected quite evidently in last 1-2 months performances It is a must in portfolio bt it can never be the core (at best 15%) And Weekend Investing is one of the better executioners of Momentum strategy among small cases, for sure. Other low cost option would be a momentum mutual fund.
