rabbi- about the concept of a demon taking possession of something we derive pleasure from, what about smoking marijuana? Sometimes when I smoke it it lifts me from sadness, and I find myself more easily able to study torah. i have heard different rabbinical opinions about the drug, i was wondering what is yours?

Rabbi Anava does not see comments here. According to what Rabbi Anava teaches, any pleasure in this world that is not for the sake of heavens has the ability to be grabbed by a demon even if it 'inspires' you. Sometimes the Yetzer Harah makes you believe he is helping you become more spiritual but it's just a trick to 'grab' you on the other end Thank you, Yehuda (Administrator)
