Alone in Oslo. Quiet city life with a dog / Silent vlog / Oslo main library / Akershus fortress

This week I spend some time alone with Mochi 🐶 because Mr. J. is away.
I go on a quiet and sunny morning forest walk with Mochi, to Oslo's main library (Deichman hovedbibliotek in the area of Bjørvika), we walk around Akershus fortress, and I walk around Oslo one foggy and very beautiful late autumn afternoon.

Dear friend, your words moved me so much- Thank you for sharing your story. It really shows the magic of books and how important it is to make them available for everyone. It's just amazing that we can travel to different places, experience different points of views and learn about people with different lives from ours through literature. Books have taught me so much! Not only academic knowledge, but more importantly empathy. My parents could not afford to buy all the books I wanted to read when I was younger, so the library was like a gift from heaven! We come from different backgrounds, and live so far apart, but our relationship to books and the library creates a wonderful bond between us. ❤️

Dear Mr I....I entirely share your love of reading. I started at four or five with Enid Blyton - Noddy and Big Ears - and have gone on from there reading every day as a necessity and as a pleasure. For a few months now, I have become a regular follower of your videos. I am captured by that soft and contemplative atmosphere that they create in the plot and at the same time that very fine humor that you show when approaching any topic or everyday vision. Of course, the beautiful “Mochi” draws tenderness from us all. But what I like the most is your photographic aesthetic, those wide shots, distant from the action, but not far from reality. I was hoping you might film at night which is probably really only 5 pm at this time of year. Oslo is beautiful with everything lit up even in fog, and I saw "my" building again! And yes please to melted cheese! What's your favorite? I tend to go for extra sharp cheddar. Mochi is so cute when her eyes are closing and she's trying to keep them open. I think anything we can do to fight climate change individually important like fewer or no animal products, less car and plane travel, heating your house to 66 and wearing a sweater. Jimmy Carter had it right. I can't help but wonder how things would be today if all our presidents held the line and were serious about reducing greenhouse gases.

Hi Mr. I and Princess Mochi, Nice video! The backdrop of the lights on an early foggy evening in Oslo was beautiful and magical! I was also a nerd growing up which I don’t know if most introverts are. The librarian at my school was my best friend. But don’t get me wrong. I have a few select friends but sometimes I need to get away and be in a quiet place by myself like the library! Would you believe what Big Boo did this week? She opened a box of milkbone treats by herself after I left it on the floor. Luckily, she was only able to sneak a few treats before I caught her. Dogs would go to any length just to get a treat! Hugs ❤ from Big Boo (soundly sleeping right now) and introvert dad!

Thank you Mr. J. The weather is perfect, low 20s. Our puppy family has increased by 4 this week. We will be minding 2 little ones at our house and making sure that Levi and Daisy are taken care of at their house (a professional dog walker will exercise them 3 days) as Angela and Alicia have gone to Melbourne, Victoria to attend a wedding and Aimee is working long hours. So busy times but that’s okay, we will manage. I loved the fog in the Palace gardens, very atmospheric. Deichman bibliotek was definitely my favorite place I visited in Oslo. It makes me so happy that such an interesting and thoughtfully designed building was made to house books. It's warm and inviting and fun. Love it. I love libraries, and love secondhand bookshops. The idea of used or borrowed books, books that have been in someone else's hands and been loved and read, just makes reading even more pleasurable. All the views of the foggy city, and the music... Love the spooky, ghostly vibes.
