Just beautiful! You know how to film-excellent editing-know just what to show. I learn so much about gear, what you need when camping in Maine. Great channel 👍from California.

Thanks for sharing, my wife and I hiked into a very similar pond last fall. sat on the shore line in the rain for hours. We were the guest of a few similar 4 legged residents. Good times!

Beautiful scenery. Love the quietness of this video (no yakking into the camera), just man and dog. Do you have to worry about ticks (on either of you) walking through those tall weeds?

Like that you don’t feel the need to jabber through the whole video. Have been working in the Haymock/Spider Lakes region for over 20 years but never thought of doing videos. Should have a long time ago. Nicely done.

Another good one, I’m new to Maine but have canoed here a lot. I spent some time exploring the North Maine Woods last fall, nice but I’m not a fan of those group campsites, need to explore more. Poland Pond was nice.

I just recently learned Gracey was attacked by a bear?? I'm so sorry she had to endure that. I've been following pretty regularly and missed it some how. Usually, my encounters with bears ends up with them running for cover, not attacking. So sorry she was hurt. She is so sweet and gentle! We love her!

Here's one for you Mr. The Main Woods. God bless you and keep you. Keep honoring God. Therefore the Lord God of Israel saith: ‘I said indeed that thy house and the house of thy father should walk before Me for ever.’ But now the Lord saith, ‘Be it far from Me; for them that honor Me I will honor, and they that despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.

I haven’t been camping the Allagash since I was 10. Where is that ranger station you checked in at? I have a map of the waterway and Allagash and can’t locate a ranger station. How are the bugs in early July up there?

public canoes or do you keep one there?
@TheMaineWoods3 жыл бұрын
I don't have one there personally, the ones that are there are privately owned but are not locked so the implication is that they can be borrowed, this is a general principle, lots of these little backwoods ponds of canoes stashed, often they are locked to trees.
