From a historical context this game is hella neat. People always site Sweet Home as the genesis for Resident Evil, but you really can see where a lot of the RE1 DNA came from.

There was a portion in the middle of the run where Carci was running through a bunch of rooms, and the commentary lined up perfectly with the loading transitions, so all I could think of is "I guess Carci buffers while the game does too"

yeah i guess i failed to mention the lighter in my commentary? i went with the sword because the range on the cavalry saber is too small. i kinda wonder if it's even possible to beat pregzt without a sword, not that it would be fun to do in a run like this

I remember having to deal with the password in order to start this game, it used to have a book that you have to find a specific word to "prove" you owned the game. Did you have to go through that?

not with the GOG version. I think they did it with the floppy disk version and not the CD ROM version.

I still enjoy this game tho sadly alot of alone in the dark games tho they tried too innovative they just didn't become successes like RE and many other old graphic adventure games of the time. I tend to call this genre Graphic Adventure and not Survival horror or resident evil like games because these games play like early 3D console versions of early 80s adventure games where you had to use keyboards n intereact with objects or attack enemies with text commands n such which that became the point n click genre.
