Linnea… thank you. So glad I found you. There are things I've never done and never will. Vicariously you take me along and I thoroughly enjoyed it. In 1979 I broke my back and neck in a motorcycle crash so I'm in a wheelchair for 44 years. I'm not whining or complaining. I love life, and nature… thank you for making it accessible for me

Linnea, I just finished my 1.5 mile morning walk with my dog. I sat down and watched you and Akela. I was right there with you and it was wonderful! I will be 73 next week and I yearn for an experience in the wilderness with a marvelous dog and camper van. I've had a good life but yet there is more in me to travel and discover our beautiful country. The world is so misaligned. I pray that they will stop.think.before that act irrationally and disturbed. GOD provided us everything we need and we can embrace life as you discovered on this trip...not rushed, no chatter, no discontent. I pray for days ahead just like you shared. Thank you Linnea and Akela for sharing your joy with us. ❤

"It's preparation. Then commitment. Then adjustment." This struck me like a hammer in a good way because that's life in general, right? Because no matter how much you prepare, you have to be able to commit but also to adjust because things seldom turn out exactly as we've planned and prepared for. This video was AMAZING!! I feel like I always say that but truly, the sentiment is from the heart each time. I watched last night. Am rewatching as I prepare to head to my job while wishing I was preparing for a solo trek instead. The reemergence of the purple puffy jacket made me smile. The narration along with the video clips - it's just a perfect video. Thank you for taking us along on your solo trek.

Really enjoy your Vlog of this solo trip! Brings back memories of my own annual 1-2 weeks long solo trips into the White Mountains with my backpack and flyrod. It's not only an escape from "civilization" but a re-grounding into the fabric of Mother Earth. The first days were always a battle quieting the voices in my own head. Eventually, the voices die down and I can settle into the quietude and relish the solitude. These days I am good for short 4-5 days in. Nothing challenging but always with the "goal" of settling next to a stream or pond loaded with native trout. Flyfishing for trout is essentially trying to be present and reconnect with my own center. Again, gratitude for sharing your trip.

After watching this emotionally beautiful video, I had to pause before I could even comment. My soul connected with this video in ways that I could only imagine. Your narrative and introspective thoughts blew me away. The wilderness calls to me and yet I'm afraid I'll never make it. On July 27th i bought a new van. Not the exact one i wanted but one that was so much bigger than my SUV. July 29th was my 60th birthday and the day I had a major heart attack though i didnt realize it at the time. That following Monday I had another. Finally went to ER. Well emergency surgery and a stent later I'm on the road to recovery. Im building my van out and though I'm a little scared, Im hitting the road when done. Linnea I so admire your tenacity and love for life. I hope to meet you on the road one day so I can personally ty for your inspiration and to hug Akiela. Ty for the most beautiful video and congrats on your Moose sighting. ❤

I found your channel while vegging on backpacking videos. I used to be an avid backpacker but health and life situations changed. I'm now 71 and was gearing up to hike the Israel National Trail or at least some of the easier legs, until the war happened eleven days ago (a day after my birthday). So, no idea when I will be able to go or even "if" as I'm not getting any younger. Watching your video helped me live through you vicariously and forget some of the horrendous stuff that has happened in the last week if even just for a few minutes! Thank you!

Thanks for all your great advice! I’m planning on hitting the road and figure it out as I go, but I’m using my 1998 Toyota sienna to start and I know this is what I have to do. I lost my father 12-24-22 and I have to go. Necessary endings because all I have is my 2 dogs and nobody else in my family support me. This is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, but either live or die. I’m packing up everything that was important to me for my grandkids. Going from a slight hoarder to a minimalist. I’m 55, but I’m going back to when I was 18 in my head and following my dreams even if nobody supports me.

Now this is quality filming, narration, and theatrics. Keep the creativity up as the beginning of the video was like the opening segment of a movie you know will be intriguing. It'll pay off even more than 190K subscribers. And I like how you mentioned the things the world tells you to care about whereas the wilderness strips that away. Nature is an excellent teacher and so much of the nature of God and His mind is revealed in it. You just have to pay attention and seek knowing all of what He created is in wisdom.

I'm blown away ..I dont have anxiety but I felt a little for you a couple of times 😉 We used to head up the mountains here in VA and go white water rafting, the nights were the best, full of stars! Beautiful scenery, even with the rain. ❤

Omg. Thanks for the breathtaking views. As I recover from a surgery that removed 5lbs in cysts, I can completely agree the body does miraculous healing.

Amazing trip, scenery, beauty, & Nature provided the opportunity to make fantastic videos & photos. The moose, deer, fish, etc allowed you to be part of their home, temporarily. And you have the best hiking/camping buddy. Thanks for sharing your thoughts & your trip.

Life... so many take it for granted. So many fail to realize it is our purpose. Thank you, again, for the amazing content. You and Akela's adventures are always so heartwarming. Keep being you, Linnea. Love and hugs to you and your precious pup. The moose was spectacular. We have many up here in Canada. I'm still in awe any time I see one. :)
