Christine, It is never too late or never to old to be an adventurer. I'm soon to be 67 and I consider myself to be adventurer. I hike, backpack, bikepack and car camp. "a life lived outdoors is a life well lived" REI quote. Happy New Year!
@nomad_unknownКүн бұрын
You’re absolutely right! When I said, past MY prime, I was only referring to myself due to health challenges I have now that I didn’t have before. I don’t believe I said anything about ages because I don’t think that way. I see 70 year olds out performing much younger folks all the time!

You're not crazy being out there at 20°...that's freakin awesome! That's the perfect NYE if you ask me. 😊🎉

@nomad_unknown in this new year, I'd like for you to give yourself waaaayyyyy more credit. I think the definition of adventure/r is trying anything outside your comfort zone. And that's a broad area of things. And I think the act of doing things on your own is intimidating until you try it. For me, it was moving away in my 20s and it was just baby steps. Going into a restaurant for lunch and sitting at a table alone. And going to the movies alone. And walking for exercise alone in areas I wasn't quite familiar with. Then years later started hiking alone. Then backpacking alone. And roadtripping alone. And now, let's say 20 yrs later than my 20s, I enjoy my own company and don't hesitate to do anything on my own. So, I think anyone can adventure in their own way. 💯 Choose your own adventure!

I saw Jane Goodall today receiving the Medal of Honour; what a life she has had and she is still making a difference. You may not realize it but you too are making a difference so pat yourself on the back and look forward to wherever the wind takes you and enjoy every minute! Happy New Year and Happy Trails!!
