What Tokyo really proves is that raid prep is so incredibly important to a successful raid defense, that even a solo can defend against a clan if they've done their prep work, have lots of sealing mats+kits & keep them spread around the base, stay level headed during the raid, take those opportunities to keep sealing and waste their rockets, and manage how many kits you have vs how many they have. If you do everything right, a defense is in the bag unless you get MLRS'ed to the ground on cooldown. Not much you can do about that if you lose certain parts of the base that are critical & can't be repaired or replaced while raiders have angles on you

I love every video starting with the "last time" quick recap and "next time"at the end. Masterfully taking the ore/sulfur out of the furnaces tossing it through the holes unless able to hope back over. Then how you tick off those large clans or just raining hell and keeping your own composure so well during a huge raid on you solo!

Question for all you Tokyo viewers and more experienced rust players: How does Tokyo manage never having to wait to spawn? In heated raid defenses - my bags/bed will inevitably get put on cooldown as I defend. Causing these huge minute or more gaps in my defense where I feel like I lose more ground than I can recover. Is the solution simply “get better” and not die soon enough to see a cooldown? Or is there more that I am not taking in to account? Thanks AIT and friends ❤

No, you're pretty much on the right track with not dieing too often. And remember, when the defence gets heated, Tokyo quite regularly has to spawn outside on a bag with no timer and sneak back into his base from the opposite side of the raiders. His bases just always allow for insane mobility.

@@pheumann86 Thank you so much for the answer bro. That’s a really good point I hadn’t considered. I don’t often see him spawning outside and sneaking back in. I know there is a reason for everything he does in game.. but as a solo just starting to learn, it’s been hard to fully understand just how well thought out everything he does is. Building has been my biggest struggle, so I tend to end up with godawful undefendable shit shacks simply because building on vanilla servers can be so unforgiving.

I love building and I get the movement and tactics and everything in theory, but when I get into fights I tend to freeze up and forget everything 😉 Don't worry about it mate, the building part is something anyone can learn. Watch some base building videos and get some inspiration. Then think about what the biggest problem was with your last base and fix that. Over time you'll find out what aspects you require and which ones you're ready to trade. For my small team bases on rather low pop servers it's always 27 rockets to core (offline raid protection is key on low pop) and enough space to move past each other quickly (my team likes it that way). However I always struggle with build cost and online raid defence. That's just the trade off of things and that's fine.

Hey Tokyo, I love that you always show such great detail to your base build. However, you never show how you setup externals etc. You don't have to show it every time, but would be nice if in your next series you can show a bit more details. Your external pathways and gate houses are pretty critical to your raid defenses, so would like to see more aspects of the build. Thanks Tokyo. Keep it up.

Did anyone notice the loot difference in the bases? Base 1 had all the fixing of a fantastic builder who needs to learn what to upgrade. But the loot was shit. Base 2 was meta 7 years ago and loaded. They didnt care to upgrade because the loot comes easy. Be group 2. Building is for like 30 people who rotate between the top clans. You dont have the raiding experice to build like Tokyo. Thats why we watch. Just be a chad and win every fight. Go roam.
