Who makes your lovely cross strung harp?

incredible to hear this and realize that this piece was written during the very first incarnation of the cross strung. If I remember correctly the composer wrote for guitar harp and keyboard seeing them all equally chromatic. Because of the cross pollination of cultures and ideas during this period this solution to chromaticism developed.

Hello Ben! Many thanks for your comment. That is exactly why I love historical spanish music. It is nice and chromatic and very versatile. The tunes are usually composed for - or at least compatible with - a number of different chromatic instruments. I really enjoy listening to guitar recordings of this tune from time to time. The sound of the guitar strings adds that certain something.
