For the Green Needle/Brainstorm thing; it also works if you close your eyes while listening and repeat one of the words in your mind as it plays. Whatever you’re more focused on is what you’ll hear.

This Brainstorm and Green Needle thing works because they send the sound "Green Needle" to the left ear and "Brainstorm" to the right ear. If you remove one side of your headphones from your ear you can clearly hear only one of those and if you change the word changes.

The pink slime bubbles are probably fungus. I have seen similar fungus growing in swampy areas before, but the kind I found was orange, not pink, but very similar. You could pop them with a twig like this and the goo would ooze out. I never tried to research it, so I dont know what it's called or anything about it, but I know it's a fungus related to mushrooms. Most likely not safe to eat.
