This literally made me cry. I have the EXACT issue. A small patch on my head then my thyroid hashimotos. Now my hair is falling everywhere. 😔😔😔😔😞😞😞 no one understands. Everyone tells me it’s going to grow back but everywhere it’s falling. It’s not going to grow back and it’s hard for me to accept that when everyone is giving me false hope. 😞😞😞

Sending you a big hug and love!! It can be so hard and feel so isolating. But there's a lot of people on instgram that share their journey with alopecia. I would suggest following along with some of them. It has helped me to know that I'm not alone. Xoxo

I am thrilled that you are doing this. You are going to help so many people. Your message is important and relevant. It goes way beyond alopecia. Self love, self worth, self acceptance. So many girls and women need to hear this right now. I can't imagine anyone better than you to lead the conversation. Can't wait to hear more. And you are absolutely gorgeous - inside and out.

Hi Robyn, thank you for sharing your experience! I also have Alopecia, suddenly, and for the first time I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata in March this year at 39 years old. I ended up losing approx 30% of my hair, saw a dermatologist, did steroid injections on the largest patch, once. Then I decided to see a Functional Nutritionist and I am convinced that its through her treatment that my hair is now all growing back, less than 6 months later. I am aware that this may be an ongoing journey for me, as it has been for you. This video is a good reminder to stay on track. I can’t recommend seeing a functional nutritionist enough - the bald patches and thinning areas started to grow back before the patch that had the steroid injections. Thank you for starting this channel.

You are what I need. I do not have alopecia. I have an autoimmune condition called lichen planopilaris which kills the hair follicle. Up til now I have been very good at camouflage but this condition is also painful and I find chemicals like in hair spray are making it worse. It is time to shave the rest of my hair off. I have turbans and wigs ready but watching you for encouragement will mean a lot. Thank you.

I feel your pain doll I'm going through the same thing I've had alopecia since I were 11 I'm now 27 I've been through every medication possible found it worked but after a little while stopped I'm now going for a hair piece or wig although we in the uk are still in lockdown so I dont know how long it will be before I get them. I have just put my story out on social media because why the heck not. You should be so proud of yourself as I am it's taken me years to speak about mine. And no matter what you are beautiful doll. It's not uncommon for people to have more than one autoimmune disease (I have 4, alopecia totalis, Hashimoto's, Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis). It's just good to be aware of this, so if you are having other health issues, get checked. My hair loss started as AA and progressed to a mix of AT and AU. I've been bald for 40+ years and a year and half ago I started sharing bald selfies on my IG page @deannecotton I've learned a lot from my journey as I'm sure you have from yours. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to you future videos. 😘

Hey more power to you, I'm not a woman or a girl but i had this stupid thing since i was 5. It sucks and I'm still not confident about it, as a dude I cant draw my eyebrows and/or wear wigs without drawing more attention to myself. @RobynGermyn
@RobynGermyn 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! A lot of people that have alopecia follow the AIP diet (autoimmune protocol diet) because if they have alopecia they most likely may have another autoimmune disease. I think it's different for each person though, so I suggest just doing some research on inflammatory foods and doing a process of elimination. xx

I'm 19 and I have been losing my hair for about a year to the point that I can't cover up the parches with any hairstyle like I did on the begining, but going to the doctor really scares me because that means accepting I have a problem, so I keep putting it off as I keep getting more and more hairless and don't even know if I'll be able to grow it back
@nicksmith9371
@nicksmith9371 4 жыл бұрын
Hi, it's hard. But whether you do accept it or not, there is a problem and you need help with that problem. As scared as you are and probably worried about the answer you might get and whether treatment will work, will you feel any worse than you do now? You have tried to manage it and unfortunately it hasn't worked so .maybe it's best to change your approach. Think of it this way, if you broke your leg you wouldn't wait and see if it got better on It's own. Take care, and try not to panic.

Hello, I find myself in a simliar situation as of 2019.... Curious when did your Alopecia start? I am wodnering if the Chemtrails which spray silver iodide into our clouds are causing this sort of thing..... My mother never saw any of this in her lifetime of 65 years......

I first lost a patch of hair about 10 years ago and then it grew back. And then I lost all of my hair in 2016. Alopecia is very common and has been around for years but most likely undiagnosed/not talked about. I have talked to women that had it going back to the 50s. I just think that it's still such a taboo subject to if you personally didn't have it or no someone close who had it, you could go your whole life not really knowing it exists or what it is because people and society don't talk about it.
@justindc3124

@@RobynGermyn Ok Robyn, well im sorry you have had to deal with this sort of thing for this long, I bet that is tough! Yeah, your probably right, I bet tons of people have it but just do not talk about it.. I know alot of guys have bald heads these days, I guess I will soon be one of them too.... I literatly have good hair and even this week its like I have a few huge completely bald spots now appearing in the corwn of my head, it's obviously not genetics and natural aging process, its totally random spots here and there. Wow, well either way, I guess one good thing is we can all look back to God to see what he might be working out in our lives through these tough struggles... I remember a verse in the Bible where a man names Paul had a thorn in his flesh whatever that was, and he prayed to the Lord Jesus three times asking Him to take tha thorn away and the Lords answer was My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
