I have to admit, being up here in the PNW, I wasn't sure why everyone was complaining about 80-90 degree weather in the south. So I went looking for answers and learned all about the heat index. Man, I feel for ya now. At least here in the Inland Northwest when it says 90 degrees it actually FEELS like 90 degrees not 105.

I got in the car the other day waited for my mom to come and turn it on I was in the car for a good 5 min my mom tuned the car on and the thermostat said 108 that’s how hot the inside of the car was

I have to work outside. Don't have any other option. Stay hydrated and power on. It was a heat index of 105 here with 80+% humidity. It rained and made it even worse. It's what I imagine a convection oven must feel like to a chicken. Literally being cooked.

Yes I also work outside so I know that you know a good air conditioner at home is a blessing because that's about the only way to recover well each night is to be able to cool off, if you're not able to get below 80 or 85° surroundings of a night time then your body just does not recover really from that day outside working

yes, here in Charlotte the other day, it was 94-96, but the dew point was 70+, it felt like 102-108, miserable.
@lovingmymcmahon33823 жыл бұрын
I’m just about 25 mins west of Charlotte.. and love watching storms also!. It gets miserable here! My husband is from NY.. he said it’s the humidity that kills him, especially in the winter.. He said up north 30° you could just wear a t-shirt, but down her you have to bundle up like it’s 10 below. Do you have a KZbin channel, I couldn’t get anything to pull up?

🤣I feel you. I’m in eastern NC & walked out to feed my cats a little after 10:00am & the heat hit me hard! I’m a summer girl. I love the warmth of the summer, don’t mind the humidity...I actually like what it does for my hair texture..., but there are a few days that are even too much for me. Woah!🥵

Honestly it is still mild for a July. Here we are days from it being August and we are just hitting the triple digits in North Texas. That’s pretty mild. Lol

Texan here, I approve of this message because of the 90 + degree heat, mosquitoes, either too much or too little humidity (it's never the right amount), armadillos in the backyard that may or may not be rabid, etc.
