Got7 is a seven member 3rd generation group that debut January 2014, left JYP January 2021 as a group and now are under Warner. Call My Name is a tribute to their fanbase, Ahgase (baby birds) There are four Koreans: 3:19 JB (leader), 4:05 Jinyoung (the one with the great voice & actor) 4:26 Youngjae (main vocal) and 5:45 Yugyeom (makne) Chinese: 5:08 Jackson Wang with a long "a" American: 5: 24 Mark Tuan (the one who spoke the English verse) Thailand: 14:59 BamBam (yes that's him) Ages range from 26 to 30. Mark being the oldest. Each one after leaving JYP released a solo album or two and as a group, they released a single and album before two of the Korean members (JB & Jinyoung) entered the military. They are well loved both internationally and nationally. Fun fact: the sign they make at the end is the KSL (Korean Sign Language) for "name" Thank you for the reaction.

GOT7 are known for live singing. I think for parts especially for those with complicated steps, there's a back track. It's a joke inside the fandom that they eat CDs. 😂 there's also an instance, they weren't able to rehearse and record for one of the music shows but if the fans didn't know, you'd think they rehearsed but they performed live!

I think you would like Not By the Moon from an art director perspective. The entire album is based on Romeo and Juliet and the MV is Got 7 putting the play on as an old time traveling actor troupe.

- you're right they're part of the 3rd gen. hope you can react more to them as well as their live performances 💚. they have a wide discography and their bsides are gems 🙏 -about the fanchant 😂. lmao it was indeed weak because the original fanchant released by the company was different, the chant was supposed to overlap with jayb's verse so ahgases (got7 fandom) changed it just before the show so that jayb's vocals could be heard more hence they did not have enough time to practice 😅 - i'm surprised you caught the part where jinyoung stopped singing 😂. GOT7 often gets accused of lipsyncing because of how stable they are 😂. so i love this kind of moments where they show that their mics are on. - kpop live performances are often backed up with MR specially if it's a music show. yes they're singing live but there are also certain parts of the song where they put in back track vocals to support the artists' live performances. in mark's narration part where you pointed it out, that was an MR backtrack. mark often lipsync or most times doesn't even try to lipsync ( in this case he did because it's the first official show for this song) that certain part and just carries on with dancing probably because he doesn't feel the need to narrate live 😅 and just used that part to rest and breathe in order to prepare for the next step. one more example is during jackson's rap part. at the end of each line, like the last word or few last syllables on each line of his verses, back track vocals are added over his live vocals to support him while he's doing heavy dancing. same with vocals there would be a back track vocals added in few important points of the song, in areas where the artists' would need help in order to execute their parts better while dancing. however nowadays, a lot of groups abuse it. using loud MR's and put backtrack in almost the whole song to the point where it's hard to hear live vocals 😏 and sometimes post production over edit a lot of parts ruining live performances so there are a lot of cases where fancams are better cause you hear their vocals more. same with fanchants, post production often minimizes the crowd noise to hear the perf better

the song is dope, but every time I hear it, I think of the viral video when Han from SKZ was cought on camera reacting to this song at an award show and the way he stopped singing along and make a neutral face)) I think it was in 2018. you recognized Jackson Wang correctly. the reaction video you were talking about is from MAMA2019 when JYP was performing with Mamamoo, but as you said he has tones of meme videos. he also has some really cool solo songs, I am not sure if you have ever checked them out? the other guy you recognize is called BamBam - he is a very funny guy too and also has lots of viral videos. he is Thai and he is a close friend with Bang Chan (they even used to take the same bus together when going to JYP, and they are the same age), he also was the one who introduced Chan to Lisa from Blackpink, when Chan was still a trainee, and they became friends as well. sorry, I don't know too much about Got7, so all my "funny facts" are through skz lense. my favourite got7 song is "not by the moon" which I recommend a lot. regarding live performance, the music shows makes lots of post production on the performances, at least in the last years, so maybe that's why sometimes it is hard to separate live vocals from backtrack. sometimes I bump into some old performances with live singing only, without barely any backtrack (like level of EXO performance with "Mama" at music core in 2012 - sorry, I don't know Got7 performances that well to know if they have smth similar as an example) - those are really impressive for me, since I am used to tones of backtrack nowadays.
