Hi, super helpful video! 😊 Question. I find that my elbows are lifting off the ground when I'm getting ready to invert. Is that supposed to happen?🤔 If not, what would you suggest so that they stay planted on the ground?🙏

How does this not injure your neck? Are you supposed to balance and put the weight in your arms and not feel any pressure in your neck at all?
@katherinematias87586 жыл бұрын
Think of the top of your head as just a point of balance. You want to find balance on a perfect triangle base. The forearms are actively pressing the floor away and give support and length to the back of your neck. When you practice this more often, you'll begin to feel less and less pressure in your neck. :)
@Aloyoga6 жыл бұрын
Hi Tasha, We agree with Katherine's suggestion! There should be a even distribution of weight along the forearms, but there will still be some weight on the head. To ensure this is safe for your neck, it is important to maintain correct alignment throughout the body, particularly through the cervical spine. If you feel any discomfort when in a headstand, we recommend checking in with your local yoga instructor for hands-on guidance. xo, alo

The problem is that is too much pressure on the sahasrara cakra and asociated gland, the pineal gland, if you are into Dhyana meditation, better do other inverted asanas that don't require to put all the weight of your body at this cakra.
