Yeah it’ll fit in a backpack . The Alpaka is 3.5L and the Cap2 is 2L . So depends size wise . It’s made for both types of carry , sling and tech kit / desk caddy . Just depends on your personal need

I think Alpaka copy the case opening that can fold half way to a stand from a Japanese Kokuyo brand, Kokuyo has this style of pen case call Haco Haco for many years. Alpaka just made Haco looks better and turn Haco into a sling😂

It’s 3.5L . Yeah it’s a bit bigger for sure but not by much . They both hold the same amount of stuff I’d say .

I have no idea brother . The apple charger fits great and then some if that helps ? Maybe look at the topo designs medium or small pouch . Look at the dimensions on the site . 🫡

How's this perform vs the eg cap2? I backed the vertex and I got the cap2 but I just curious since they're similar in use/looks?

The vertex is a 3.5L and the Cap2 is 2L . The size is the main part . I mostly use the peak design as my desk caddy but they all work , it’s just a matter of preference I guess .

​@@mr_red13 hey! So now I actually own both. And while they are very similar in looks, in actually using them they're entirely different. The Vertex works best we as a sling, however I do have a gripe with it. The quick access zippers are different in sizes I feel like. For example, I can pack it from the inside but if I need to retrieve a larger object, it'll be a pain in the ass to grab from the outside zipper. I wish the handle wasn't so tight to the pack itself, it felt useless in that case, since you had to like dig to grab it. And then as far as desk caddy, I think the CAP2 performs better at this, because of the lid it holds it's shape and lays flat (so magents are not needed) , so you can access the contents better on the CAP2. And then a minor, and now I'm being super picky gripe, is that the magnets are not as cool as the ones EG uses 😂
