The +1 planet comes from the Manifold Nexus being within your borders. Given how fluid boarders are I think this is super janky as a game mechanic, I think it ought to be within a city borders or within 2 tiles of a city. I would have built a command post for the morale boost, but you're using numbers and aggression to overwhelm the Spartans, very well played.

I forgot you could use Alien Artifacts to boost Secret Project production. 5:00 Suprise! She actually has 4 points of Attack Power. (9:39) 20:40 The Morgan strikes back. 27:17 A profitable relationship with Deidre. What a strange game. 41:31 Monolith combat. As previous commenters have noted, +1 PLANET from having Manifold Nexus within your borders.

Only now, after all these years, did I recognize the shout-out from Firaxis to one of the other best and most beloved SF computer games of the 90's: The Spartan base named Citadel Station.

Started a game as Believers last night, and was up all night. Hilarious that a 23 year old game could do that to me. Had a nice epic war with the Hive, wasn't sure if I could beat him, but that 25% attack certainly bailed me out.

42:50 +1 planet because of Manifold Nexus in the boundaries. The progenitors get also +1 research

Cost = Weapon × (Armor + Speed) × 10 ÷ (2 ^ (Reactor + 1)). You can probably see that having heavy armour, high speed AND a good weapon can dramatically increase the costs.

That's right. It's for this very reason that I don't put any armor on any unit chassis other than infantry, because if a unit gets attacked outside of a base they are usually dead, armor or not, so you might as well save on the mineral cost.

I always like to build a corps of Recon Rovers to take care of mind-worms. Their mobility means they can be redeployed where needed and almost always get the first strike. And for 20 minerals, they're cheap!

I can't stop myself! The Manifold Nexus! Gives you +1 Planet, which is an absolute boon, always and forever!

Wait a minute. The Spartans actually have a base named "Citadel Station"??? I dunno, that's a bit of a Shock to the System if you know what I mean :)

People were commenting about the manifold nexus in the last episode too. Makes me think of I ever do a series like this I might watch for some gameplay tips like that between recording sessions.

I would say the time the formers spend on driving through the unroaded tiles hurts
@johnpotts83082 жыл бұрын
If you're looking for things to do with your Formers, surely building roads towards the Spartans would be a good idea? Though maybe you don't have enough military to make it worth the while.

You are much too timid about overlap. As Morgan, your cities won't go above size 11 for a VERY long time, so you're not wasting any potential. Also, having Supply Crawlers working Forests is actually pretty profitable (15 turn payback), and they are MUCH quicker to develop with Formers. Gotta put that land to use!
