This information is gold! Canine Leadership 101 should be a mandatory requirement prior to owning any breed. When the owners are 100% committed to their dog's well-being, both physical and mental, so many dogs would avoid being euthanized.

I just found your page tonight I very much been alpha to every dog we’ve raised from a pup. But I now have 2 rescues pure bread Cane Corso female and a pure bread Am Staff male. I’ve had trouble establishing my Alpha position since day one! The CC came from major abuse lived in a crate and was used as a puppy mill! Because of that the only way I got her to come around to me was by siting on the floor nxt to her speaking very softly giving her treats every little while petting her super gently and tip toeing around her. Every time anyone curses or raises their voice. She gets super freaked out. She hates, hates, hates men she’s scared to death of them. We’ve had her for over 2 and a half years now, the only other person she will let near her is my one son who did the same thing as I did. Basically the old owner beat the cane corso out of her( I think he beat the dog out of her!). I’ve been afraid to demand anything from her! She has never once barked since I’ve had her, she only in the last year started rolling around in the secluded back yard. She loves to have her belly rubbed but there’s know way she’s gonna lay on her back for me to do it.Any ideas for me? PLZZZ😢

Just found your channel & I'm hooked. Straight talk, no nonsense firm, fair, with genuine love for your dogs. Rescued my Baby Doll almost a year ago, she was 8months then & had no prior training. {either of us😅) It's been long road buts she's finally at the point that she's a positive ambassador for her breed. So proud, unfortunately people still cross the road to avoid us, so much prejudice towards our dogs mainly due to BSL Bullshit & 2many Wanksta:s taking advantage of their eager to please nature. Love this!!! I’ve got a 5yr old Bully (Harley) and he weighs almost as much as I do but since day 1, I’ve been the alpha. I’m so glad I listened back then to those little commands & things that didn’t seem like much of anything then, makes the world of difference now! He’s been in 3 fights (started all bc of the other dog and he was merely defending himself) and the second the other dog was able to be take away from the fight, Harley sat down! He didn’t try to come after the other dog nor did he become a “violent” dog. Any animal/any breed of dog can turn at anytime but I truly believe dogs are a product(or problem in some cases) of their environment and how the were raised & handled. I would love to see more videos on training and being the alpha. Books can only teach you so much but to learn from someone like you, who has ample knowledge & experience is priceless!!!! Thanks for sharing al your tips and tricks! I’ve been doing some of them and it’s made a huge difference between me & Harley even more!

Ah so my dog has been trying me this whole time huh…. Major training tomorrow, explains why when i call he doesn’t come, he started walking in the door before me, he growled at me once when feeding him but i fixed that (NO I DONT HT HIM), i watched this vid two years ago right before i got him and thought I remembered ALL this great information lol, I’ll do better with my next dog and proceed to re-train this one. 2 year old “Shepherd Pit”

My red nose pit is 11 months and she’s defiant to a degree she listens to the sit command which is something I started training her when she was smaller but I didn’t set a definite alpha role as she sometimes as u mentioned will not come as called she is my first dog that I’m taking care myself she was a gift from my dad at 2 or 3 months
