Hi Michael, I've never been the first to comment on anything, just happened to catch this video just as it was posted. I just wanted to say, I really appreciate your videos and the commentary on all these go games! Keep it up!

Once again, a big, no huge, thank you to Michael for the outstanding commentary and to Chris and the American Go Association for the organisation and making it happen

Thanks Michael and Chris, it is indeed amazing, great production overall and highly appreciated. Always a joy to see a new video released (I think I've watched all your AlphaGo videos) and very much look forward to soon getting into the 2nd half of the series!

I really like these complicated fights in the self-play series, but I'm also still looking forward to going back to some Zero games, especially game 11, when Master actually beats Zero!

Thanks again for the great commentaries! They are always very much appreciated, and deeply enjoyable. I laughed at the short-lived foray into politics with the "wall" comment, and then the way it was handled ("but let's not go there"). I'm suspecting that this was filmed near to the US mid-terms, and I would guess it must be hard for people in the US to get away from all of the politics around that time.

You could say that a Wall with thickness is a Wall and a Wall with cut points is a Fence

I came here to say the same thing! Two minds beating as one.

I've watched all of the Redmond reviews, but usually via roku on my TV, so not able to comment. These are just wonderful. I would like to suggest a couple of improvements in the style. There are many instances wherein Chris is talking very low as if saying something private to Michael (at 9:30 and dozens more up to minute 42), often with his right hand over his face. How about speaking up a bit during those times in order to share with the viewer. Also on two occasions, I was chagrined to see Chris reach in front of Michael to accept a drink from Nathan off camera.

The stretched aspect ratio is distressing, particularly since real go boards are slightly longer the other way

Turn your screen partly to the side (or watch from the side).

I had the same thought. However, this makes me wonder how the go board "looks" biases my play (particularly my opening)

Nothing against Chis, but I wish it was just Micheal. Does anyone know if Micheal streams?

I guess this is from the Master series, right?

Yes, he mentions in the opening that Zero does not play that opening but master does.

A future version of Alphago will resign at move 1 because he sees the game will be lost with 0.5 points.
