Universes Beyond: specialty sets featuring non-Magic IP e.g. Walking Dead legal in Commander and eternal formats 5. Magic 30 debacle: WotC essentially proxy reserved list and charge £1k I still enjoy Magic and buy a [very] small amount of product e.g. JumpStart and a Secret Lair [D&D] - will probably by Final Fantasy [JRPG] next year - but I do question my involvement beyond kitchen table.

Ever since Satan birthed the first distributor out of his rear end distributors have been doing those distributor things. Making you take crap you don't want in order to get any allocation of the hottest new product, sitting on product because they heard the price is going up "somewhere" but it doesn't so they try to then sell it at normal price a month later after slashing your initial order by 90% because they tried to be greedy and the product is so cold now no one wants it, and other time honored distributor shenanigans. I would suggest trying to be friendly to distributors no matter how bad they screw you over because it is a guarantee you'll see them in hell. Your distributors, your attorney, your accountant, and all your ex-mothers in law.

I don't care if nobody reads this but if you are not a patron of Rudy's and you buy more that one box every month, you are missing out. Of course support your LGS first but Rudy is great at his business of providing for his patrons and loving this stuff that he doesn't have time to enjoy. I am not a person who buys multiple boxes a month and am not a patron for that reason alone. I hope this finds someone that is on the fence. I don't have time to enjoy deck building and playing with the crew I moved away from, and keep collecting "small" amount for the nostalgia high. Yeah I’ve never seen his actual prices but he talks about it sometimes briefly, from what I’ve heard, the only real way Rudy is saving you money is if you buy off the Pokémon center. Not knocking him but he’s nowhere near the cheapest, 🤷‍♂️. I’ve gotten like the last 5-6 sets of Pokémon for sub $100 tax and shipped for a BB. Some low 90s, without TikTok. Maybe his magics different but… 🤷‍♂️.

I always get confused by Rudy's counting. The channel was established in August 2013, the oldest still listed videos are from May 2016. So dunno how he gets to "coming up to 10 years", that would happen in 2026, i.e. in another 17 months from now.

Duskmourn is what UB should have been. In-lore Magic characters either breaking the 4th wall or in some meta setting. This is significantly more interesting than any of the UB stuff so far imo (and I love Warhammer and LotR).
