On flavor with Phyrexians, the video ends as it began; with some grotesque abomination. XD Also, Foil Tezzey from this set was my first ever Planeswalker. From that alone I shall forever love this set.

I've got a case of each set that I'm saving for when I'm an old man, so that at the end of my life, I can sit down with my best friends, smoke some dope, and draft a bunch of Scars block.

Fun fact about this block: The basic lands form a panorama of the older artifact lands for each color and two lands from besieged can be added to each color to show the phyrexian influence on the plane. I absolutely love this block. Wotc why can't you make sets like this anymore?

Back when I played that set I went to a store in Knoxville for a PTQ for Starcity Game. I picked up the same box and got 3 swords but when I got home I got 2 boxes. In both boxes looked like that no swords and one ink moth lol.

Back in the day I begged my dad to just get me one pack of this set. I opened it in the car and pulled a foil Blightsteel. Next day, someone at camp convinced me to trade it to them for a normal Ulamog’s Crusher. Within a few hours, I realized my mistake and got the guy to trade it back to me. I’ve held on tight to that foil Blightsteel ever since

6:00 Spine of Ish Sah you could get some OBSCENE shenanigans with that card. I had a combo i could reliably execute that would give me five permanents destroyed in one turn with it. Not a tournament card but god that was a lot of fun.

I remember when magic first came out we played the hell out of it. Stopped playing about the time Homelands came out, continued purchasing products but stopped playing the game. I got back into playing the game after 7 edition core set came out. Really got into it when Onslaught, Legion, and Scourge came around. Then 8th edition core set came out, not a lot of hype for it, but there was a lot of talk about artifacts coming after it. Rudy once said in a video that artifacts where considered rare and special in and of the game its self. When Mirridon first came out, it destroyed this concept. I fucking hated it. Affinity for artifacts was new, the equipment artifacts, colorless decks - obnoxious how people played this to their advantage, indestructible was new and people abused the hell out of that one word. For me it completely changed the way the game was played, and so I hated it. I understand that this is a different block set but it still has the Mirridon name, so I already don't like it.
