Fun Fact: Cecil had another episode where he faked Bugs breaking his shell. Eventually, Bugs and Porky found out he was faking, and Cecil pulls a freakin' gun on them. He was the most evil character in the show.

Cecil the turtle, the enemy of bugs bunny ever since the looney tunes episodes of Bugs trying to beat him in a race of the tortoise and the hare in the old days. Surprised he’s a villain of society as a jerk cable guy and con man. It’s brilliant to make him evil cause I want him to be defeated and let Bugs finally beat him unlike the race they had back then. It’s like a brilliant way to connect it to fans that felt bad that bugs tried to beat that smug turtle.

I *love* what they did with Cecil here. They turned a turtle that screwed Bugs over in races into a diabolical, sadistic villain that screwed Bugs over as a customer while still retaining that calm, carefree attitude.

I love how they took Cecil, the only person that has consistently beaten Bugs in the original, and turned him into an absolute jerk. It isn't even the same Cecil anymore, since in those episodes, BUGS was the antagoniser and Cecil just pushed through.

There were 3 total races and Cecil cheated. Every. Single. Time and never got in trouble for it. Bugs getting on his case was justified Bugs reading the episode title in the first race was intentionally made to provoke him to race Cecil, but he was definitely being too antagonistic here. Bugs not knowing how Cecil won the first race (cheated long before the race even started and lying to Bugs about it) provoked him to race Cecil again. Losing due to stupid circumstances. Bugs still not knowing Cecil cheated in the first race challenged him to a third race where he blatantly cheats this time and Bugs calls him on it, yet no one else sees it. Bugs finally wins the race but ends up arrested for speeding. Cecil was always shown to be deceitful in those old shorts and getting away with it. There is a reason people hate the character. This is just showing how he was in a more blatant way and finally getting what he deserved after all these years.

I’m thinking of writing a fanfic that has Cecil being tortured by Bugs who turns Cecil into a TMNT who is targeted by Shredder so Bugs paints him blue to help him escape from Shredder only for Bugs to shout that there’s a wild Squirtle and dozens of ten year olds suddenly appear and hurl Pokeballs at Cecil. Which then has Cecil beg for Bugs to save him, he gets dropped off in the Mushroom Kingdom where he meets Peach who screams for Mario to save her and he gets beaten up by the plumber and then kicked into Piranha Plant’s mouth that starts to chew him up before spitting him out in disgust.

Funny you should say “Mock Turtle Soup” because that’s the name of the fanfic written in a cast script style where Bugs gets Elmer to chase Cecil who then begs Bugs to help him so he gets turned into a Ninja Turtle that is chased by Shredder and then a Squirtle who is pelted by hundreds of Poké Balls thrown by a large group of 10 year olds, and finally dropped off into the Mushroom Kingdom where he sees Princess Peach who then screams for help and Cecil is violently beaten up by Mario who then kick him into the mouth of a Piranha Plant that starts to chew him up until it turns green and spits him out in disgust.

Cecil Turtle humiliated Bugs Bunny in three old shorts and was never seen in later cartoons. He even steals Bugs' punch line " Ain't I a stinker " when Bugs was arrested by police in "Rabbit Transit". Cecil is really a hateful terrapin.

I really relate to Tina in this scenario. I get that you always need to treat the customer with respect, but that doesn’t give them the right to walk all over you. I’ve had to deal with the occasional bad apples or Karens at one of my jobs, and it is not fun to have them talk over you when you’re on the verge of an anxiety attack. You just want to call them out for being assholes and to get away from them, but you have no choice but to hold your tongue. It can get really exhausting. 😓

Bugs finally get's revenge on Cecil in this show lol. Cecil was the only character to get the upper hand on Bugs until the Looney Toons Show.

When I was a kid, I didn't care much for The Looney Tunes Show. But now I think it's one of the BEST Looney Tunes shows. Looking back, I believe the reason for it is that I couldn't undertand most of the jokes. Because I was a kid. The Looney Tunes Show bases A LOT of its humor on the general adult lifestyle. It tackles problems only adults understand, and that's why I've grown to like this show much more overtime. Unfortunatelly, I also think that's the reason it wasn't very successful. Even though there are more and more adults who watch cartoons nowdays, kids still watch TV much more than them. And if the kids didn't undertand the show and the adults didn't have time to watch it on tv, it was a recipe for failure. I'm glad this show wasn't cancelled, because nowdays it certainly would have.

Cecil was truly the MOST evil character in that show.I don't know what kind of evil lives in that turtles heart but anyone who gets a kick out of turning off someone's cable every Monday just for fun is NO good and this isn't the first time in his next episode he did a WORSE thing.He gets hit by Bugs' car and tries to get him to pay for his shell to be repaired but Bugs learns Cecil had been doing this for a WHILE he wore a fake cracked shell and pretends he got hurt just to scam people out of their money! I'm glad Bugs and Porky got him arrested in that episode

I mean CN doesn’t rlly seem to have an issue with guns in their shows. At least they didn’t with this show, Regular Show or Adventure Time. (idk if it applies to even more recent shows) A lot of ppl said Yosemite Sam not having guns in this show was a censorship thing but he actually explains in an episode that the government took his bc he...went a lil overboard with them, so I don’t think it was

I find it really interesting that when I most recently saw an episode of this show, I realized it doesn't just take from sitcoms. I feel like it also takes from 80s comedies, specifically the ones with Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, the late greats John Candy, and Harold Ramis. where It turns mundane and regular situations into something ridiculous without the outdated and horny bits that those 80s comedies have. But that's just me after watching so many older movies.
