I'm a Christian, and I know that some of these infos are being understood in a wrong way. This is the reason why there are so many people who hates the Bible, because there are people who explains it in a very wrong way. I suggest you to read your Bible yourself. Spend time in prayer, ask God to give you a heart of understanding so that you will be able to know by experience the Word of God. I assure you (whoever reads this), you will never regret reading His Word. The Bible is not a book of do's and don'ts, actually I know that you know its purpose. It is basically the manual of our life. Every single word, punctuations, infos, and description written in it are true. It will never fail you. Being a Christian is not hard if you are willing to follow Jesus. Read the Word of God and you will know Him. You will know Him by experience. I am only 16 years old, and I can proudly say that my God is living and He is on the move.

I guess it might be generalising since it did a whole lot of horrible things in the medieval times such as, The Eight crusades that brought the deat to thousands of people or the fact that it tried to control everyone and kill whoever wasn't on their side. Of course these days this wouldn't happen but wounds leave scars. Another reason might be because judaism, buddhism and hinduism are considered and are more peacefull religions.

D9INE Good question! In case you or someone else reading the comments does not completely understand the Bible, let me give you a small summary. Of course, a paragraph isn't enough to cover every single detail as the Bible is 800 pages long depending on the version but anyways. God created the world perfect. Believe in Him and try to live a life like Jesus. Read about God! Get to know what he is like by reading the Bible, pray frequently, and be involved in a community where they can help you seek and live a Christ-like life filled with joy, love, and a new family. Christianity is not following a bunch of rules, it’s giving your heart to God and trusting in Him to take your cold, dark heart and replace it with a tender, responsive heart. (Ezekiel36:26-27) By being close to Him, those changes occur naturally , not because you HAVE to follow all these rules. The opposite is in fact true, you come to Him as you are and he will help you lift yourself up and take power over what you feel is controlling you. ✌🏼AMEN

Hope this clears up any confusion in regards to understanding the Bible: The Old Testament is mostly written for the Jews as it is an old covenant between man and God. The New Testament is written for Christians as it is a new covenant between man and God because of the Jesus's sacrifice for sins. The Jews however don't believe Jesus is the messiah so they stick with the Old Testament. The Christians follow the New Testament since they believe Jesus is the messiah. The New Testament mentions commands from the Old Testament that no longer apply under the new covenant. So if you're wondering why some passages seem to "contradict" each other it is simply because of the difference in covenants. For example: The Old Testament mentions men being circumcised to distinguish righteous from unrighteous. However in the New Testament circumcision is no longer a valid form of righteousness thus not necessary.

No she didnt, things changed as to what man wanted. Man wanted slaves so make god ok slaves. Man wanted concubines so make god like concubines. Do you not see what ever man liked god liked and whatever man was against so was their god. You can not sit here and claim any god would allow his creations to be slaves. If so not so good god eh? The words in that book have been played with and changed over centuries and then Constantine settled it and had his tribunal put it together their way. It kept changing until today we have so much confusion no one can agree. What god would want that?

Reading the Bible is the single best way to become an atheist. "Believers" are people that are too lazy to read their own holy book or those blindly dogmatic enough to disregard all human logic for the sake of faith. The more dogmatic of them all are the people that barely knows a few little things about their "lord". Why is it that their faith is so strong even though they know so little about their "savior"? Because knowing anymore would give rise to reason and end their faith. If you don't believe me, crack it open and read cover to cover. You will find that it promotes bare any little good while advocating mainly barbaric behavior, not the proper way to treat fellow human beings. I won't let a random ancient book teach me how to hurt my fellow human beings, or kill them when they violate the sabbath, or enslaving them is ay OK, just to name a few minor things.

Because even if I changed the word I used the point still stands. You are a typical apologist from what I've seen of your comments thus far. You argue minute words that don't matter to avoid the point that the argument makes. The law was "from god" and the laws are stupid, because the people were stupid, and the people invented the god.

T.E. Solomon Again, I didn't say that *I* don't know the difference. I said that over tme the words have become synonymous. This is obviously talking about in general since it is entire populations that determine a words meaning. "Jews" know. Isrealites know. Their neighbors know. Most of the world? Call all of the people Jews because *they don't know*. People don't do research, they assume. Your religion is called Judaism afer all. Jews, Judaism, close enough in sound for people. And it still has no effect on the point of the topic. Nice job avoiding the issue though.

This guy is as bad at explaining the truth of the Bible as the Westboro Baptist Church that openly hates gays, just on the other end of the spectrum. The Bible is meant to be read as a whole. Can you imagine reading a sentence every few chapters in the Harry Potter series, and claiming to know everything about the books? In the same way, you can't just pick out a few verses in the Bible and make claims on what the Bible means.
@FYRFOX1989 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately this video is out of context....most of the list is correct but you must read both Old and New Testament. This video is made by a person own selfish reasons and not by GOD's Word. Jesus Christ is the New Covenant. When he died on the cross for our sinful ways the Old Covenant was changed. To understand this you must pray for the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom and understanding. Most Christians today are lost from the Top down by educated Pastors that believe in false bibles. it is actually about sex in general, the English version: "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own" but sex is only truly ok in the eye of god if it is pure. Hebrews 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."
@TygerNight17 жыл бұрын
I kind of doubt that... Psalm 51:5 states "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me." Period. So even God's most precious gifts of children are conceived in the sin of sex.

In Genesis 9: 7, God (through Moses, who is largely regarded as human author of Genesis) writes: "And you, be fruitful and multiply, bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein." (King James Bible, retrieved from biblehub.com/genesis/9-7.htm, which also has a bunch of other translations as well if you want more context). also, in Genesis 1: 27, God writes: "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he made them, both male and female", (retrieved from biblehub.com/genesis/1-27.htm). there are two things of interest here; one, that God created us in his image, and two, that God created us as male and female. let's cover the male and female part, shall we? if God didn't want us to procreate, why did he give us the means to do so? also, without a Woman named Mary, we would not have the man Jesus, who several notable writers of the time also wrote about as having existed (so the mortal Jesus of Nazareth was real and was crucified, but it is a matter of faith whether we believe he rose again or not- faith being a choice, and this choice being a core principle of the Christian Faith, because how can we truly love God, as Jesus commands us to, if we have no choice in the matter). this Jesus is central to the Christian faith, hence the word CHRISTian, and so without a woman's reproductive organs, God's ultimate plan for us would not have come to pass. so, the act of Sex, within the legal bounds of marriage, is not a sin. now let us address the "God made us in his image" part: God created us in his image both physically, so when we commit murder or even assault, we deface God's image, which is a topic for another time. God also made us in his image spiritually; God was a creator, and so humans have an inbuilt desire to create, just as God did. This is the reason why we have things such as the arts, music, literature, film, heck even video games (which are not, in my personal belief a sin, although if anyone can find actual proof in Scripture that i am wrong, feel more than welcome to correct me) which are an outlet for our need to create. in the same way, creating other human beings, also in the likeness of God, is also part of our inborn need to create. in short, creation, whether it be through the arts and sciences (yes, as a result of science we have created many things, such as medicines which save lives, which is God's work regardless of your personal beliefs) or procreation, is, once again in my personal opinion so please feel free to correct me if i am wrong, an act of worship in and of itself, because we are emulating God, who should always be regarded as a great roll model, because, as they say, copying is the greatest form of flattery... Have you researched at all? Or are you just believing what non-Christians tell you? Example: A guy who doesn't know anything whatsoever about electronics decides to help me with my electronics (and he's wrong about everything.) am I going to just take his word for it and be like... Even though you know nothing about electronics, I'm still going to believe everything you say about them! No, I'm not. I know, apples and garbage trucks. However, the reason these rules are so "messed up" is because the Israelites were a chronically messed up and evil people, and God punished them for it. Religion has nothing to do with reality.

Hectik007 You are joking, right? If all was done, finished in this myth On/By the end of the 6th day/to rest on the 7th, there would be nothing to finish up/complete on the seventh as not having been completed on the sixth (any employed person would know the difference, as would management determining alleged completion vs. incomplete or complete); so mythical god did something on the 7th day to complete what was not accomplished on the 6th day. We all do stuff on any version of what the 7th day would be, some Must to make rent, bills, etc. Get over it already. So what? Religion is irrelevant in this matter, and many other matters involving life in the real world. All of this silliness discussed about myths, upon myths, upon even more myths, silly. I commented on the video, you commented on my post. However, Oh, you have Nothing to say about the 2 conflicting creation stories? (besides the flat earth; Earth being 6-10 thousand years old in these bizarre, silly texts (let alone people living 600-900 years old without knowledge of germs, bacteria, cleanliness, hygiene, proper food preparation and storage, etc -whoa, more ignorant (not knowledgeable) silliness to be disregarded); yet anyone and everyone who may be excited about discovery, cosmology, archaeology, biology, etc, even those drilling for oil know of the earth's existence being billions years old, if they want to learn anything and advance as a civilized society, prosper, or even access oil.) The Ten Commandments many believe are sacred (a few repeatedly praising an insecure, angry, wrathful god (oblivious to the uncivilized people of the time), tho None declare "Thou shalt not own Humans as property" - cause they Liked, condoned, approved, and actually taught approval of slavery and subjugation, abuse, and maltreatment of people (not those unknown biblical authors that are not slaves themselves, the owners of people, a god figure, nor Jesus - how convenient to instill abuse). The very next chapter following the Ten Commandments clearly begins the How To Guide To Owning Humans As Property, elaborated in further bible text. The bible really is quite disgusting and thoroughly immoral. That vile barbarism is where the quran got the text for their own violence. We know how that is working out.

So don't you are forgiven just because you know he exists. be obedient this also counts for me off course and it's not an easy walk to walk like Jesus. part of being obedient is to live holy 1 Thessalonians 4 tells us this. Patrick TheBaptist but you're getting your morals from people that didn't know about diseases (they thought they were demons), from men that could marry as many women he could want (very young and old) and commit rape or assault because women were seen as nothing but property. People who wrote the bible knew nothing about the world compared to modern human knowledge. If you could only give credit to the good parts of the book and ignore the rest, then you can say that about any book. Mein Kampf could be a good book if you focus on the good quotes and ignore the rest, same with the Quran, The Twight series, etc.
@PatrickBaptist9 жыл бұрын
David Dautintuser"men that could marry as many women he could want (very young and old) and commit rape or assault because women were seen as nothing but property." Nothing but untrue, one show me in the Bible where God ordained marriage between more than one man and one woman, I understand that is what the people were DOING, but where did God say they actually COULD do it? For the rest of your claims, book, chapter, and verse in the Bible please, else you are just parroting what you heard someone else say. Remember the Bible is not islam or the koran. "People who wrote the bible knew nothing about the world compared to modern human knowledge." Just like you won't know how the world will be in another 100 years, so what, that actually changes nothing what you are saying is that tradition and ways of men should change the word of God, that is just foolish, but he you have a free will go do as you wish, noone is stopping you and I for sure would not try and put you under the law that cannot save you,.
@davidp23529 жыл бұрын
Patrick TheBaptist how is that untrue, polygamy and pedophila were prominent in ancient times and the bible did not condemn that. Show me where it says polygamy or pedophila was a sin in your book. The bible is not the koran, but they have similar moral teachings and they both originated in the middle east. But why are you still believing on an ancient book when everyone else just abides by a modern court of law and constitution? If you believe in the bible as a moral guide and should be law, make a theocracy like Afghanistan or other countries. And yeah God regrets giving me freewill... but if god wanted everyone to believe in a specific religion with specific moral actions then freewill shouldn't be on the list.

Can be forced into an abortion if a man simply fears his wife is pregnant and fears that maybe pregnancy may not be his... the barbarism, even the big bible How To Guide for Slave Master verses, never ends, and it is repeated SO many times, OT and NT. Jesus said he wasn't there to change any of it, but "to fulfill" the laws of insanity. I can care less about the opinions of other Christians, their opinions and other opinions do not matter against the context of the bible from beginning to end. Many twist the meaning of the bible both inside and out of Christianity that most opinions are generally irrelevant to the bible in the correct context. But that's a topic for another time.
@TyBurney10 жыл бұрын
DareDevilZombie I have a better idea why don't you open up a bible and a concordance and read it from beginning to end. I recommend the King James and the Complete Jewish Bible, good luck and try not to get confused.
@TyBurney10 жыл бұрын
They are taken out of context because there is more to those scriptures than just those quoted parts. For instance the putting a knife to your throat scripture from Proverbs 23 was in context to how when you are dining with an important person like an investor or diplomat, don't be greedy and slobbish so as not to offend your guest and give off a bad impression. So for instance if you were eating a meal with Bill gates to discuss business matters you would not indulge in your food like you are at a sports bar. In the proper context the verse makes sense, by itself the meaning is obscured and thus is out of context to its original meaning. If this is so important to you why don't you just do what I recommended and read it for yourself.
@TyBurney10 жыл бұрын
Its a metaphor, not to be taken literally. If someone puts a knife to your throat you freeze and conserve yourself in fright and attention. So its telling you to mentally putting a knife to your throat as a form of caution, to stay on your P's and Q's. Its one of the many metaphors that are within the text of the bible. Like run as if you had a wolf at your heels. Its metaphorical.

Dakota Griffin--All food is not clean--that is a misinterpretation of Scripture--Christ is not even talking about food in your text.The pig (and the other unclean creatures) is a filthy animal that will always be unclean until Christ comes. Satan is trying to destroy many by these wrong views of the Bible. Why would God who created all creatures suddenly change His mind in the NT and do away with the OT dietary laws? He would not. I personally am a vegan because all meat and animal products have become so corrupted it's not safe to eat any of it. I'm not saved by doing this, but I'm a lot healthier for it.
@stevebilliter5 жыл бұрын
@Dakota Griffin---Jesus was not speaking of food in your verse. Anyone trying to say that God would suddenly declare foods to be clean that He previously declared to be unclean, knows nothing about God--He never changes. A pigs nature does not suddenly change from the Old Testament to the new. Once God says it's not edible, it's not edible from then on. Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore you sons of Jacob are not consumed. I you want to risk sickness, disease, and early death and a possible loss of salvation, then by all means...pig out. I recommend veganism, which is out original diet found in Genesis 1:29.

Those who disregard God's counsel on diet and foods greatly increase their risk for many types of cancers and other diseases. God has given us a body and mind to care for, not to abuse...your choice.

The Scripture you're reading, is from the Old Testament, meant specifically for the Jewish people. Some, were for specific times, and specific people. The Old Testament is not specifically for Jews it is also for Christians. Just because you are Christian doesn't mean you should read the New Testament. No brother you are very mistaken, in order to be a true follower of Christ you have to follow his guidance. Jesus strongly upheld the laws and teachings of the messengers before him, He urged us to follow the laws of God, He NEVER Belittled these Laws, NEITHER DID HE CHANGE ANY OF THEM!! Be careful, the doctrine of God whether it is found in the old or new testament cannot be overlooked or brushed aside, the word of God is Absolute. Ponder upon this statement that Jesus made: Matthew 5:17-20 (KJV) 17.''Think not that I came to destroy the law or the Prophets: I have not come to destroy but to fulfill.' 18, For I say to you, Till heaven and earth shall pass away, one jot or one title SHALL IN NO WISE PASS FROM THE LAW, TILL ALL BE FULFILLED. 19. Whosoever therefore shall break ONE of the LEAST COMMANDMENTS, and shall teach men so, He shall be call LEAST in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them (the laws of the old testament), the same shall be called GREAT in the kingdom of Heaven. 20. For I say unto you, that except your righteous shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, YE SHALL IN NO CASE ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.' And there are other verses, but i believe that is clear enough, now brother, if you truly believe that the laws of the old testament are not important, just take a look around, look at your society and observe the moral decay, ask yourself, how did this happen to mankind? and also ask yourself what could be the solution? these laws of the old testament; do not drink alcohol, do not fornicate, dress modestly, do not eat pork, men should not shave their beards etc etc.....do you believe that its all for NOTHING???? Perhaps you should look into it before you conclude, check the pros and cons, what are the benefits of obeying these commandments???, apply the benefits to your society and imagine the difference. And also remember that God is All Wise, He Knows the past, present and future of all things, He is Pure and Holy, His standards are Pure and holy, His guidance is Good and wise, why would He guide us away from certain things if not for our own benefit???? He loves us, He gave us free will, but He also gave us guidance in order to manage the challenges that we are destined to face in life. And this guidance he revealed to us through messengers. we cannot belittle Guidance from God, we must never put aside his laws....if we do so then we are in fact in losers.

+Lashawna Talaya He is speaking of Moses' laws (commandments) and your comment would mean that Jesus' death was for nothing.... interesting translation. This is why it is important to not only read the Bible in its entirety, to have a personal relationship with God (its just like a personal relationship that we know here on earth; he speaks with us), but that one also go to church to be continually learning. Because if you state that the Old Testament ways are what God requires of us, than may I ask what you believe Jesus' crucifixion was for?
@eastcoastamy31818 жыл бұрын
+Lashawna Talaya I forgot to copy this (ref to what I was saying)- Matthew 5:17-20New Living Translation (NLT) Teaching about the Law 17 “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. 19 So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. 20 “But I warn you-unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!
@lashawnatalaya16228 жыл бұрын
Amy Dee he's not only speaking of the Mosaic Laws, He is referring to all of the Devine messages given to mankind through the prophets, after all he did say "prophets" (plural word). The reference you made, I do not go by that translation. I read the RSV which I believe is most "credible" an opinion shared by numerous religious scholars. Anyhow, Jesus himself abided by these laws, so why shouldn't the rest of us? I choose to follow what Jesus said and did in His life. He did not change any of the old laws, neither did he come with a "new" religion, after all, He believed in the same God as Abraham, Noah, Lot, Moses etc, so wouldn't they all belong to the same religion? They all obeyed the same laws of God, they all told their people to obey the laws as it was revealed, and as humans evolved intellectually, the messages (laws) became more profound...but now we say that these laws are not important anymore (And we wonder why society is so messed up now more than ever) if you study history closely you'll realize that up until two centuries after christ existed, his followers still worshipped in the synagogues and didnt divert from the faith (Judaism), and for many it was even blasphemous to worship Jesus alongside God because that was never apart of the original teachings, but gradually in the 3rd century CE Christianity began to change for numerous reasons, divisions started to occur, and modern day Christianity was born. It is nothing like the original faith of the 1st and 2nd CE. Just research dear. And additionally if Jesus said that he didn't come to destroy the law, doesn't that mean that they still stand? He himself abided by them, and he would get VERY UPSET with the jews, namely the pharisees and scribes whenever they broke the law, so why on earth shouldn't we abide by them now? Jesus is the authority on the matter, and if he didnt abolish these laws, then clearly they still stand. He is an example to us, we are to follow his advice, and his actions as best as we can, his beliefs should also be our beliefs, whatever was his standard should also be our standard, if we aim for this we cannot fail. #followTheFaithOfJesus #ObeyTheLawOfGod #TheLawOfGod_isETERNAL

I still agree with most of these 25 guide lines. Avoiding eating unhealthful foods such as the dietary guidelines mentioned, not marring the body temple through tattoos, wearing respectable clothing. Also keeping the family together is very important, and marriage in the bible is between a man and a woman so i agree with that as well. Not tampering with sorcery/witchcraft/ pretty obvious for Christians to understand this one. And Interesting to note The Sabbath is Still Valid today, because it was a commandment not merely a "jewish" tradition; adam &eve kept it, noah kept it, abraham kept it, moses, david, Jesus kept the sabbath, Peter & Paul kept the sabbath, and the other 12 disciples, all up until the Roman Church decided to try to change God's law. . Most of these were jewish laws to keep them separate from defiling themselves from the Nations around them. (Reading through Deuteronomy would give you an idea of what keeping these laws would produce in a nation). They were separate from the 10 commandments, by Moses writing them on a scroll and placing it next to the ark, commandments were placed inside the ark. Never the less they still hold fundamentally true for the christian today. Staying pure, through diet, life style, relationships (with God and man). Spiritual things are spiritually discerned. I dont expect the person who made this video to understand that, or anyone else watching it who is not spiritual. To them these would seem as arbitrary laws. But the results of staying faithful to God, is a happy, healthy, holy life. And an eternal life with Jesus in Heaven. Where sin and death no longer exist. I would not judge people for doing things contrary, if they were ignorant of knowing the benefits of having a relationship with God.

Hugh Janus "I don't think the difference is in the religion" Oh yes it is....and the two are not "pretty much the same" (that's just a popular politically perfect myth), but polar opposite in many things. Muhammad himself got people killed who criticized him. Ka'b Ibn Al-Ashraf and Asma bint Marwan would be two names, of quite a few. Look it up. If Muhammad did it, it gets "Sunnah", that means he's to be taken as a role model of how a Muslim should act. So Muslims who won't get violent are actually wrong in their religion's eyes.
@mawa89g10 жыл бұрын
Hugh Janus So - how do you determine what an "actual Muslim" is? I argued about the notion of an 'orthodox' Islam, that is one which is as the religion defines itself (Quran, Sunnah, Sira etc.). If Muslims in western countries go against that, fine, but that does not change the actual teaching. Islam understands itself as the timeless, morally objective religion of Allah, so all morality has to be governed by it in a Muslim's eyes. "They are the same in many ways" You could argue that about pretty much any two books in existence. The differences matter a lot though. I know both religions pretty well and read the books. They are not even similar.

(But I think one can divorce one's partner if he or she is Unbeliever and Is being a Hindrance to One's spiritual growth.. idk if it's acceptable or not, its just my own saying) 11.Gossiping.. Not sure if it's a Sin but Sure that God doesn't appreciate this in both OT and NT.. of course with human conscience also we can't appreciate it 12.Pigging out now and then.. I don't think it's a sin either but just a caution.. because when one's stomach is full he may even say Who is God? or May question of God's Existence ( its relatable verse is some where in Proverbs.) 13.Women speaking in Church.. Paul is discussing primarily the disruption of worship by woman who become involved in noisy discussions surrounding tongues and speaking Prophecy. Instead of publicly clamoring for explanations, the wives were to discuss matters with their husbands at home.. Paul doesn't altogether forbid woman to speak in Church ( see 1corin11:5) what he is forbidding is the disorderly speaking.. 14.Being gay.. Yep it's a sin in Both OT and NT 15.Playing American Football. I Strongly believe that we can eat pork or touch its carcasses after referring to Peter's encounter 16.Premarital sex... Yes It's a Sin In both OT and NT.. we can state it as a sin with our mere conscience tho 17.Wearing Polyester.. I don't think it's a sin but it's just not acceptable upto to OT and not In NT 18.Pulling Out.. It's a Different Situation... according to that situation in genesis "Judah told Onan to lie with his brother's wife because his brother is dead ( i think) this is acceptable in Israel as "Levirate marriage" or "kinsman-redeemer".. Here Onan Slept with her but deliberately avoided giving offspring so it is counted as a sin.. Idk Much abt it in other cases so i can't say if it's a sin or not but in Onan case it's a SIN 19.Eating seafood.. No its NOT ( refer to Peter's encounter) 20.Working on saturday.. I'm not sure of it.. But in my view I think in NT it is acceptable ( may be i wrong or idk) In my church we do our works normally but on saturday night we'll have fasting and we consider Sunday as Sabbath ( but i do read on sundays so i'm not sure of this) 21.Wives helping their husbands in Fight.. I Think its Only In OT (just my opinion) 22&23.Rounded haircuts and trimming beards.. Same as 21 i think its only for Jews 24.Divorcing with ur cheating partner... I Think the idealogy is that the marriage shouldn't be permanently disrupted ( when he/she comes back leaving his/her bad nature then they must get together).. I may be wrong in think this.. I'm not sure of wt i said 25.Eating Cheese.. Only In OT Not a sin in NT OT= old testament, NT= new testament.. I know i may be wrong in defining some of 'em.. If I'm wrong I pray in Jesus' name to forgive me AMEN.. I can't believe i'd written This much big passage (I didn't write in accordance with the given order in the video but followed the order given in the description )

cat luva Yes.. But not an Abomination in NT.(Question: "Why does the Bible speak against wearing clothing made of different types of fabric?" Answer: There are two passages in the Mosaic Law that forbid the wearing of different types of fabric; that is, the wearing of blended fabrics-those woven from two different materials. Leviticus 19:19 says, “Keep my decrees. Do not mate different kinds of animals. Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed. Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material.” And Deuteronomy 22:9-11 commands, “Do not plant two kinds of seed in your vineyard; if you do, not only the crops you plant but also the fruit of the vineyard will be defiled. Do not plow with an ox and a donkey yoked together. Do not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together.” While the Deuteronomy passage specifically forbids wearing a woven garment of wool and linen, the Leviticus passage seems broader, forbidding clothes woven of two different types of fabric, no matter what the material. However, wool and linen would have been the primary options for the ancient Israelite when it came to making thread for weaving. Woolen thread would have been made from the hair of a sheep or goat, although today it is made from a variety of other animals as well (llamas, alpacas, etc.). Linen was made from fibers contained in the stalk of the flax plant (see Joshua 2:6). There is no evidence that ancient Israel cultivated cotton, and of course they did not have synthetics like nylon or polyester. Thus, we can assume that wool and linen are in view in the Leviticus passage, even though the materials are not specifically stated. Neither passage says anything about wearing two garments made of different kinds of material. For example, a linen undergarment worn with a woolen outer garment may have been acceptable. Nor do the commandments say anything about clothing that is not woven, such as leather or animal skins, being used with a lining made of wool or linen. The prohibition pertains only to wearing a single garment woven with both wool and linen. The rule against wearing different types of fabric was not a moral law. There is nothing inherently wrong with weaving linen and wool together. In fact, the ephod of the high priest was made of linen and dyed thread (Exodus 28:6-8; 39:4-5). The dyed thread would have been made of wool. This fact is probably the key to understanding the prohibition. The ephod of the high priest was the only garment that could be woven of linen and wool. No one else was allowed to have such a garment. Apparently, this rule was to place some distance between the high priest and the people, with the ultimate purpose of reminding Israel of how holy God truly is. A similar prohibition in the Law regarded anointing oil. God gave a special recipe for the anointing oil, and it was strictly forbidden to duplicate the recipe for common use. No Israelite was allowed to make this oil for his own purposes (Exodus 30:31-38). The passages forbidding wearing clothes woven with wool and linen include a list of other prohibitions against mixing of various kinds. It is interesting to note that ancient Hittite laws also forbade the sowing of different kinds of seed in the same field. It appears that mixing of this kind was reserved for sacred purposes, and the average person was not allowed to engage in these practices. In the Old Testament, the prohibitions may have been to maintain distance between the people and the high priest (and therefore God, whom the high priest represented). In other cases, the prohibitions may have been designed to keep the Israelites from imitating the superstitious or religious practices of the pagan nations surrounding them. Even though we do not understand all that is behind these prohibitions, we can be sure that the ancient Israelites would have understood exactly why the rules were in place. So, is it wrong for a Christian today to wear clothing made of two different types of material? The clear and unequivocal answer is “no.” As we have seen, the prohibition was only for linen and wool, which would be uncommon today, anyway. Other types of blends were simply not in view. Beyond that, the prohibition was for ancient Israel, not for the New Testament Christian. The ceremonial laws for ancient Israel as recorded in the Old Testament simply do not apply today.)

The encounter peter had was very specific, please reread the passage as the message that was being delivered in the vision was that he should minister to all people, he should not consider any group not suitable to receive the Gospel. Peter's vision in which he was instructed to "rise, kill, and eat" of the unclean animals (Acts 10:9-16) is often quoted to show that it is now OK to eat anything. But Peter didn't understand it that way at all. He said what the vision meant: "But God hath shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean" (verse 28). Please reread the passage and contextualize the message. Certain foods should not be eaten, Peters testimony did not excuse this law. that and Saturday, if you read revelation you will see what importance the day of worship and the mark of the best have in common. It is important that we all acknowledge the seventh day and rest. I will quote page 281-289. The Desire of Ages "And the Lord says, "If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on My holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honorable; . . . then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord." Isa. 58:13, 14. To all who receive the Sabbath as a sign of Christ's creative and redeeming power, it will be a delight. Seeing Christ in it, they delight themselves in Him. The Sabbath points them to the works of creation as an evidence of His mighty power in redemption. While it calls to mind the lost peace of Eden, it tells of peace restored through the Saviour. And every object in nature repeats His invitation, "Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest." Matt 11:28." Please take the time to discern the messages found in the bible, we will be fooled if we do not take the time to understand the word. We should also pray for the wisdom to see as it is the plan of Satan to deceive the masses with excuses, and distracting us from Gods word so that we will be lost. Please consider this message. Pray feverishly for God gives us but a time to make the change live a life led by him. in one accord.

So, just opening your mouth and saying I believe, while there is no action to cut the sin out of your life, means nothing. Does it mean that a Christian will never more sin? No, it means that sin will become a gross thing to you, and if you do it anywhere, it'll make you feel horrible, whilst if you do a good thing, you will feel a joy in you that is permanent regardless of the situation you are living. That joy comes from GOD. May Our God, the Father Almighty, bless and put you in the right path towards HIM...

Q: "Do women have to remain silent in church?" A: First Corinthians 14:33-35states, “As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church” (ESV). At first glance, this seems to be a blanket command that women are never allowed to speak at all in the church. However, earlier in the same epistle (1 Corinthians 11:5), Paul mentions situations where women are allowed to pray and prophesy in the assembled congregation. Therefore, 1 Corinthians 14:33-35 must not be an absolute command for women to remain silent at all times in all services. The prohibition must be limited in some way by the context. The concern of 1 Corinthians 14 is the orderly assembly of the congregation. The church of Corinth was noted for the chaos and lack of order rampant in that assembly (verse 33). Everyone in the church service was participating with whatever expression they desired, whenever they desired, as loudly as they desired. Those with the gift of tongueswere speaking simultaneously, and no one was concerned with interpreting what was being said. Those with a revelation from God were shouting out randomly, even if what was said could not be heard above the din, and apparently no one was evaluating what was being offered as prophecy. The meetings were characterized by chaos, and no one was being edified or instructed (see verses 5, 12, and 19). To remedy this problem, Paul instructs a number of people/groups to “be quiet” at certain times and under certain conditions: • Verses 27-28a, “If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn, and let someone interpret. But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silent in church.” • Verses 29-31a, “Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said. If a revelation is made to another sitting there, let the first be silent. For you can all prophesy one by one.” • Verses 34-35, “The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.” As we have already noted, women are allowed to pray and prophesy in church in 1 Corinthians 11:5, so 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 cannot be an absolute prohibition against all types of speaking by all women at all times. As evident from the commands to tongues-speakers and prophets, certain other people are also prohibited from speaking at certain times and for certain reasons. The context gives us some clues as to what is going on. First, the command for women to remain silent seems to deal with two important issues: proper order in the church and proper demonstration or acknowledgment of authority. Apparently, some women were speaking out in a way that did not acknowledge the spiritual authority of either their husbands or church leaders. This issue is addressed in 1 Corinthians 11 as well. Women are allowed to pray and prophesy, as long as they have their heads covered to show proper respect for spiritual authority. (In the first century, the head covering was the sign of a chaste, respectful woman, so women in the church were not to cast it off; to do so was to convey insolence or impropriety, according to the contemporary culture. Today, head coverings do not communicate the same message, so most evangelical interpreters stress that the attitude of respect, displayed by culturally significant symbols, is important, not a head covering specifically.) We might envision Paul saying, “If a woman wants to pray or prophesy in church, let her do so while showing the proper respect for church authority; otherwise, let her remain silent.” The Greek word gunaikes in 1 Corinthians 14:34 can mean either “woman” or “wife,” depending on the context. The mention of husbands in verse 35 might indicate that “wife” is intended and that only married women are to be silent in the church. However, limiting the application of the Paul’s injunction to married women doesn’t really solve the problem: in the ancient world marriage was usually seen as an elevation of status. If married women are enjoined to be silent, how much more would single women have been expected to sit quietly? The various possible interpretations of 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 are too numerous to recount here. The best explanation takes into account the surrounding context and resolves the tension between 1 Corinthians 11 and 14. The immediate context has to do with the delivery of prophecy and the deliberation about the prophecy. If someone offers a prophecy to the church in the public meeting, the church is to pass judgment upon it (1 Corinthians 14:29). That is, the church is to weigh it and evaluate it to see if it is truly from God and, if so, what actions should be taken. It seems that the best contextual understanding is that women are to keep silent in this deliberative process, since evaluating prophecy is an exercise of spiritual authority. Further complications could also arise: what if a wife questioned her husband’s prophecy or disagreed with her husband’s evaluation of a prophecy? In that case, it would be proper for her to hold her peace in the assembly and ask him about it privately at home (verse 35). This would show respect for her husband’s spiritual authority and minimize the possibility of disorder in the church. (Although not mentioned in the passage, a husband may have found it wise to “recuse himself” if his wife’s prophecy came under scrutiny!) Paul’s original intent in 1 Corinthians 14:33-35 seems to be that a woman must not take part in the deliberative process of evaluating prophecies. The question remains about how this command is to be applied today. In both 1 Corinthians 11 and 14, Paul is keen to maintain male spiritual leadership in the home and church as a universal principle (see also 1 Timothy 2:12). Pastors and elders are men, and women come under that authority with the rest of the church. How this submission to authority is acknowledged and applied may differ based on current cultural practices. If a head covering (as in chapter 11) is the culturally appropriate symbol of a woman’s chastity and submissiveness, then a head covering should be worn. If that symbol passes from currency, then it may be discarded in favor of other culturally relevant symbols. In modern Western culture, modest clothing would certainly be a relevant symbol. Other symbols, such as a wife taking her husband’s last name, might have held much significance at one time in American culture but may now be less significant. There may be another reason, rooted in culture, for the command for women to remain silent in the church. For a first-century woman to participate in a deliberative action in any assembly would have been considered a usurpation of authority. Perhaps in today’s culture, where women are invited to participate, their silence is not required in the church in order to show proper respect to their husbands or church leadership. The interpretation offered here maintains that, as long the male leadership in the home and church is honored and female acceptance of it is expressed in culturally relevant ways, then the spirit of the passage is fulfilled.

Some of these statements are true but there are also false or misunderstood statements in this video. I strongly believe the narrator does not have Christian views to truly understand certain topics and issues that he claimed in this video giving Christianity a bad outlook. Overall these video had a good message it just wasn't initiated correctly.

yeah that is what most people say because they think they are no longer under the law but under grace. So are you saying because I am no longer under the law that means I should not obey what is written in the old testament? No people, We are free from the curse of the law not the law. Remember what Christ said that it is easy for heaven and earth to pass away than one jot of the law to fail. Remember Romans 2:12-15 talks about us being judged according to the law. You may try to argue by saying we are now under grace. Remember God said several times that He does not change so if He doesn't like those food we eat yesterday, He will not like it today and will never like it. It is also written in the Bible that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, Today and forever, so if He doesn't like something yesterday, He will not like it today and will never like it. You know it's not about you, Its about God, Its better you sacrifice anything that will deny you from entering the kingdom of God. Please don't argue with your eternity. go to www.eternityrace.com for more information

Why do you get to decide how much faith Christians put in their bible? Its their Holy Book. Its funny how atheist want people to think that Christians HAVE to do everything the bible XD. They generalize Christians all the time and then call them "not real Christians" when they say they don't follow certain aspects of the bible XD. Atheists want Christians to be better Christians than Christians themselves.

Just because you do some sin doesn't mean you're condemned eternally. Everyone sins... You have to trust in Jesus Christ and accept him as you lord and savior. Then, try not to sin if you can, try to stay as sin free as you can, try to act like Jesus more each day.

@jakeanddevin12258 жыл бұрын
+Misting Wolf he's just saying that most of these are from the Old Testament, which was before Jesus. Christians believe Jesus basically came to put a stop to the blasphemy of the Old Testament and teach the true ways of his father, a.k.a. God. Christians believe that Jesus was the son of God, but other religions (mainly Judaism and Islam) don't share the same belief and think the son of god has yet to come... meaning the Old Testament was never "disproven" and I still valid. 💁🏼

@skyisthelimitreadyornotfor28 жыл бұрын
The Bible is not sexist, that quote is from one of Paul's letters, its taken out of context. It was a letter sent to an apostle of a church in those days. Specifically to do with how the church was run in those days, as opposed to matriarchal pagan religions who were run by women. Where as all the churches in those days were run by men. Its talking of a custom in those days, just like Leviticus law was talking about Jewish laws from an earlier time, Paul's letters are talking about customs and goings on from those days, not laws to be followed, and not all of the letters are inspired by God. Some letters he wrote may have been inspired by God but its a mix of all the letters he sent out to the apostles, so do not use his letters over other parts of the Bible where Jesus spoke of equality of the sexes.
@PharaohKitty697 жыл бұрын
+Sudda Bang oh look here comes the "you people" guy. Great way not to look like an idiot. First off how can you assume a god created man and woman? You know what did do that? Millions of years worth of evolution. We started as asexual organisms and evolved from there. If you say god started evolution you are contradicting creationism. Secondly, if you think someone should burn in a lake of fucking lava forever because they watched a KZbin video and said something about it.... you really are an immoral person. What person would wish that fate even on their worst enemy? An eternity of pain. As in infinite pain. Thirdly, even if god did exist I wouldn't worship him because I'm not a fucking asshole. I tend to actually support women and support being good to others. Humanism is the new answer. Theists can go make up more fairy tales that will eventually be considered myths.
