As a person who has -always- been a diehard fan of Metroidvanias, I consider that one the -best- one in the entire genre, if not the best game I've ever enjoyed. Incorrect, all the skill checks in XC2 that you HAVE to do in order to beat the game can all be done with blades you get for free or they're element based, in which case you can just use the generic blades and don't need to actually get unique blades from the gatcha.

i think dash is just pissed because he really wanted a rod of discord, honestly terraria does have a lot of rng, but to say it ruins the game is an overstatement. the game has so many items that if you got all of them with a high chance you would be overwhelmed with things. rng is just a ranking system, the better weapons/items have higher rarity. however you can get through the game just fine with the easy to get items, it will just take a bit more skill

The question about games I kinda dislike that other people like made me think of NASB. Like OK the movement is nice and wavedashing is cool, but considering emulators for Melee and Slippi exist having wave dashing in your game shouldn't make it worth $50 when it lacking in tons of elements. I feel the combat is fun, but in every other aspect the game is actively failing. Right now we don't have any seemingly interesting single player content, no reason to do stuff like arcade considering unlocking is only limited to pics of renders (not even inspect able 3d models like trophies) and profile pics. I know theres the ball mode, but considering I've literally seen no one talk about it I'm assuming it's the coin smash of Nick. The main thing that bugs me about the $50 is that Slap City (atm the more entertaining game) is $20 which along with the devs literally saying constantly how their budget was extremely tiny gives me the assumption that it's $30 more just because of the Nick Characters...which is....I don't really think I can justify that at all. Of course the devs are getting a bigger budget, but unless they get a massive FREE updates to add content to the game atm I'd say just get Slap City for a fun Smash Like Game and Melee+Slippi or Rivals for a more competitive Smash Game

With The World Ends With You, the Switch port was good, but you kinda have to play it in handheld mode to not get frustrated? The original relied *heavily* on the touch screen of the DS, and they tried to make it work with gyro controls but....eh....Some of the moves you basically can't do with gyro. I played it handheld with a stylus and it worked very well. It's not perfect, a couple of the bosses didn't translate very well, but overall solid port.

Rocket slime is a fucking based DS game where the main mechanic is stretching yourself out to launch yourself into enemies and then carrying trash and throwing it everywhere. And then you use all the trash you've collected over the course of the game in giant mech battles where you launch trash at the enemy mech.

My take on Persona 4 is that it's a pretty good story which would probably be better off as a book or anime than a game if it weren't for the twist ending (that really hits different when you are playing the game yourself). It's almost like they made the entire thing a game just for that twist ending (and honestly I don't mind) but the game is absolutely boring a *lot* of the time, even if I enjoyed it overall and don't regret playing it

Played it for 400 hours?! rookie numbers. if you think its so rng based you mustve been doing something wrong with the progression. the game does not have that much grinding if you dont want to get the rare items because the bosses and enemies require skillful movement and knowledge of the game to dodge their attacks and not die wich makes it so you dont need to "grind for incredibly rare items" and besides the only pepole who do go for those items are the pepole who want to collect the rare items for the sense of achivement. the game is supposed to be played for thousands of hours to feel a sense of acomplishment by completing harder difficulties with difrent self proposed rulesets. i personally have 3067 hours in this game and still have fun with the game have been playing since 2012. thank you for reading. >:(
