I've been a huge fan of Alphaville ever since I first heard them back when I was 14 or so (and they just arrived on the new wave scene in 1981ish ), they have DOZENS of awesome songs... Out of all their library, this one is probably the most simply 'beautiful' song that I can listen to over and over and over, and never get tired of it. The singing, structure of the song, the keyboards, the notes/rythms, everything about it is just perfect, and the video is one of their best as well. This song, 'Sister Sun', 'Flame' and possibly 'Iron John' are probably my four fave songs, but it is hard to pick a 'best' when they have so many good ones. But THIS song, is at the top of the heap, for sure... On a side note, as a completely hetro male, I have to admit, Ricky Echolette's hair is AWESOME...

This is an epic track. First time i heard it, i was about 9-10 years old and now I am 46😊The long instrumental version of this song was beautiful too. Modern pop artists cannot match any close to a level of vintage Alphaville's songwriting for sure.

Alphaville has so many wonderful songs, but this has to be in the top 3 or 4... So beautiful, represents exactly what I love about synthesizer music... I remember I picked this CD up when I was in Berlin visiting relatives, and I feel like I must have almost broke their CD player playing this song over and over again.
