The concert was held at a parking lot (yeah, really) in Şişli district, which is situated at the very heart of modern Istanbul. We're honored to have this phenomenal group, Alphaville, as the headliner act, as a part of Şişli Vinyl Festival, 2023. Admission to the concert was free, and since the festival area was actually a small clearance squeezed between residential buildings and skyscrapers, one can meet by chance and join to the crowd while going shopping or home ( you can paste the coordinates to google to check the place ;) 41° 3'24"N, 28°58'51"E ) And yeah, i was there, at the very front row. The concert was fantastic; and as a footnote to the fans, the group also performed "Summer in Berlin" and "Jerusalem" right after "The Elevator". Those songs couldn't make it in this video, I believe due to a technical glitch.

@@LourivalConceicaoSilvaJunior yeah I think you have a point there, 'cause musicians and bands mostly prefer touring in Europe and in the US to reach their fan base in as many cities and countries as possible. But there's also this fact that South America has been the home of most hardcore and crazy fans in the world, so never lose your hope. Wishing you good luck at chasing your dream, I'm sure you'll meet them some time (you may also consider planning a vacation and attending their concert in Europe, why not ? ;)

I'm probably one of the biggest Alphaville fans on the planet, I have Rolf Budde, Wea and Münster in common with them as artists.... And I wish so much that Marian would sing the songs at the live concerts exactly as we all know them!.... This singing around the edges ruins any identification of the fans with the melody... Why do you do that, Marian? Even the Stones still perform their ancient songs for the fans today, now 80, exactly as the fans know them from the records... Please, please sing the songs live the way we all know them and don't distort them as if anyone could do it! We all want to hear and see the original!!!

I was a fan of Alphaville since 80ties I guess but all faded out when they started rock like music. Synth was much better. Why do they use live standard drum kits if it sounds so cheap? Why don't they use sample based electronic drum set? There would be some variantion and more resemblence to original sound...
