Came for the battery shut off mode staying for rest of the tips... Thanks

Great review! Just one question though...if you plug the ref onto a power source (outlet), without the battery, will it work? Thanks in advance!
@Ambohouse2 ай бұрын
There is no battery in the cooler itself. If come with both a 110v household power adaptor. And a lighter plug type 12v cord. We actually use the small one like that a lot. Plug it in for the drive and then use the house plug when at home.

hi, so just to be clear you can charge it and travel with it is, is that correct.. and gor how long if so.. at at both sides freezer mode.. appreciate your video and a reply please...thanks

Sorry for the late reply. It does not have any internal battery will have to be hooked up to a power source to work. I have used a small battery pack.. but mostly run it of my 12v system.

So after now, about 3 years, have you had any issues? Do you believe this will last 3-5 years? Also how would you rate the freezer capability?
@Ambohouse Жыл бұрын
So far still going strong. I believe I'll get at least 5 years or more. For the price and abuse they get i would be happy with that. Freezer works great. The smaller one has been used mostly as a freezer.

Very nice fridges. Are they noisy?
@Ambohouse2 жыл бұрын
Actually really quiet. Barely notice then. If I was sleeping next to it maybe.. but just a dull hum when the compressor kicks on.

Thanks for the review! What is the highest temp the LGT60 can be set at?
@Ambohouse Жыл бұрын
I'll have to check next time I'm out in the truck. I know it goes down to atleast 0. I normally keep freezer side at 10 and 40 on the fridge. Never checked the high end but I'll check and report back

@@Ambohouse I'm looking to utilize one section for dry storage 50-70 degrees F and the other as a fridge. Also if you know the relative humidity levels that would be very helpful. Thanks!
@Ambohouse Жыл бұрын
@cpak you get some bleed over Temp from side to side not much insulation on the divider and no real seal between the two on these models. I know there are some that ha e totally separate lids that may work that way. But don't think the alpicool would work good for that.
@tkpak88 Жыл бұрын
@@Ambohouse thanks for the info I went with the Alpicool TAW55 which has separate compartments so there's no interference. I'll let you how it works out when I receive it!

That little one is super cool. I wonder if a different brand of milk carton might fit. I'm loving our ICECO! Ugh LG compressors... Huge problems with out home LG fridge! great setup though for sure!!
@Ambohouse2 жыл бұрын
It may. It's only about 1/2 inch off on GV brand we usually buy. I looked hard at the iceco but the price was out of my budget. The little one was 199.00 got the t50 for 319.00 open box.

Thanks for the video. Have you pulled the divider and basket out by any chance and used it as just a freezer? I'm broke and want it as a dual purpose, mini deep freezer at home, but can take with me on our out of state jobs...
@Ambohouse Жыл бұрын
We have done that on the smaller one many times. Have never had the need to on the big one. But I'm sure it would work.

I would like to ask a Question? I have the Alpicool C20 Refrigerator but when I connect it with my Car on High and Medium Voltage it gives F1 Errors and after sometime on Low Voltage also gives same error I don’t understand if it’s designed for the Car why its not working properly with car cigarette lighter socket. I even change 2 times different Cars to check but issues is the same seem like any kind of additional device i need to run It properly. Any suggestions?
@cogwun Жыл бұрын
It's probably because many 12v fridges will shut off when they're not supplied with enough voltage. The voltage supplied by batteries will decrease as it's charge is depleted, so a 12v battery will actually provide more like 10-14v. The solution is to use a voltage regulator to provide a consistent 12v to the fridge
@cogwun Жыл бұрын
Other people in these comments are suggesting it could be to do with wire size
@Ambohouse11 ай бұрын
As others have stated.. Its usually the wire size to the plug your using. Old trucks where made as lighter plugs.. new ones are power ports and only rated for a lower amperage. I ran my own fused plug directly to a battery.

I'm getting f8 fault codes with erratic cooling, owned for 2 years
@Ambohouse Жыл бұрын
F8 I believe is a temperature sensor error, so could be the cause for sure. Not sure if that's gonna be hard to replace. Or It could have just come loose on the inside. Not had that issue myself

The cable that is given with this model is far too thin , I kept getting the F1 fault code , re jigged the charging cable , now it doesn't cut out due to losses with the 12 v cigarette lighter cable .

I had this issue with the c20 in my wife's escape. In its case it was the wire size running to the plug for the car. Running a bigger direct line helped. But shortening the stock wire probably would have been enough to fix the issue also. Does seemed undersized for the Amp pull.

I'm thinking of getting one to be used for camping and will run it off of the 110v plug at the campground. Can this stay outside? I assume it must be protected from rain?
@Ambohouse2 жыл бұрын
They do come with a wall plug to run off 120. Use them at home all the time. But they are not waterproof. Our stay in the back of the cars when we camp.

Not sure short of contacting alpicool. Or seeing if someone with a 3d printer could make you one.
