Divider is to create dual temp zones, taking it out it automatically switches to single zone

Looks great. We have a cooler somewhat like that in the backyard from the 80's. it still working.Not dual zone, it keeps things either hot or cold, you can choose. PITTL

Looks like a great way to keep your cool. Would be good for a hunting trip after you dress your catch....or a day the beach. Set it up with the solar charge panels and box in the bed of the truck and you will be the hit of the party. Thanks Chris. J K PS, don't forget the tunes !

Road trips! Need something to keep the meat frozen for 2,000 miles. It works...

Nice! must have a D/C Compressor . That is a great little unit to have sweet.

Thanks. Ultra-low power consumption too...like 45 watts. A single 100w solar panel (in full sun) has no problem keeping it going

My friend has a Dometic Dual Zone and his has a d/c "swing compressor" if I'm not mistaken.. ultra efficient and very low power draw for the size it cools. Some day I will have one haha. Very nice Chris

You have he dual zone version, and didn't turn the other side on. The divider allows one side to be a fridge and the other a freezer.

With the divider.. Think possible to keep chicken/fish frozen on one side and keep the other side around 50F without freezing /damaging produce like lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo?
@alexmotlyakh59223 жыл бұрын
NoSunBeach - possible but depends for how long. For chicken and fish you need 0F if you want it to last more than a week. With freezer 0F the fridge bin will be 40-45, fridge bin has no separate compressor, it gets what is left after freezer cools down. At 0F it runs almost non-stop in Max mode, 15-20 minutes on, 6 minutes off. Poor insulation, it warms quickly when compressor shuts down. Poor design, freezer bin is on the right, over the compressor - as shown in the video, those walls get warmer than walls on the left if you remove the divider. Temperature inside is different from what display reads. With the divider the freezer still does the job but draws horrible amount of energy, I've just bought it, didn't measure but looks like 100AH/1300WH Lithium battery won't last more than 30 hours. Video shows 100W solar, this is enough to keep freezer bin at 30F - unless you have a big battery to supply the rest. If you want 0 in freezer, get 200W solar or a big Lithium battery 200AH/2600WH to last a weekend. I bought it for the same purpose as you - keep fresh veggies and frozen meat separately, disappointed.

By the way, does it work on A/C as well as DC ? Does it have a wall brick transformer adapter or is it built in ? Thanx J K
@ChrisDIYerOklahoma4 жыл бұрын
It comes with a AC/DC adapter (14.4 volts output). Overnight, it used 450 watt/hours. Temp inside...5F. Crazy low power consumption! I have no idea about the transformer. Those water bottles are frozen solid

Please more updates when you have time Chris.. I am VERY interested in one of these now considering the price.. My buddies Dometic Dual Zone is a beauty but they also have more into that fridge/freezer than what my first car was worth

Dang I was hoping you would show how to pair the bluetooth. But you only had it half turned on
@rosemariehogan12623 жыл бұрын
To pair the bluetooth, get a code reader app on your phone (I use Qreader) and scan the code in the little manual to download the frig app. On your phone, turn on Bluetooth AND LOCATION. Sounds dumb, but you MUST turn on location. Then turn on the refrigerator app on your phone, then press Settings button on your frig. Now press the frig icon on the app and you should be able to use the app via bluetooth. You must keep location on to use the app and if, for some reason you lose your connection, just press Settings again.

$369. Now they are $399. I'd shop around...esp on Amazon. Several "different" companies appear to make the same thing.

i'll bet the divider keeps one side colder when opening .
@ChrisDIYerOklahoma4 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. There is a sensor (magnet?) in that divider that triggers the "right" side digital thermostat to turn on when installed. I took mine out. But, the left side is still colder than the right side. No biggy...it still freezes down to 4F. Right now, I am using it as a backyard patio fridge. Set it at 27F and it keeps water bottles and pop cans at about 33-34F on both sides.
