FYI...wireless Hi-Res Audio is capable via Bluetooth Audio. The frequency response isn't as great as a wired connection, but it is possible...

I'm getting this installed later this month. Do you know if any size usb flash drive will be compatible for playing Hi-Res music files? I'd like to add all my music files to a flash drive larger than 64GB. Thanks in advance... UPDATE...I answered my own question...the HDS-990 can play USB drives that contain up to 10,000 songs. The HD screen keeps a running total of the number of songs contained on the USB drive...

Nice but most that do go with wanting HiRes is wanting to replace the deck, replace speakers, add amplifiers, DSP, and wiring. Alpine got it wrong!! People dont want to use this as integration

I believe you are correct on that one. Glad I can use it as a stand alone. Every time I have upgraded my stereo in cars I usually replace everything and don't want to integration either.

It controller face mount plugs into a control box that can plug into other stereo if needed. But the control box is it's own unit that just like any other stereo.
