hello I have a dsp pxe 850s and it is unconfigured only from one day to another .. and I don't know if it is normal for it to take off for almost 3 minutes ... is there no firmware update? THANK YOU

There’s phase control and time delay which further changes the phase

Great video btw, So my mercedes c55 has a fiber optic Harman-Kardon factory 7.1 surround sound system in my car, the factory amp went out and the head unit was using a Fiber optic connection to the amp. I replaced the head unit and now looking for an amp. Can this amp/dsp take a 4 channel input and still put it out as 7.1 surround or close?

Thanks! It can handle up to 8 channels. But Alpine doesn't advertise it as surround sound. It's basically just a high quality wireless amplifier with built in DSP for intense customization and tuning.

Is Alpine subwoofer is best than JBL subwoofer?

It's a very touch decision, both great companies. I think Alpine is better int he head unit/amplifier realm, whereas JBL may have an edge in speakers/subs

@@Qualitymobilevideo Depends on the head unit. They came out with some really poor ones and apparently i got maybe their worst head unit ever!. Cda-9855 I had was awesome. When i upgraded to the IVA-W505 headunit with the cartridge nav dock (after the success of the IVA-W205 Blackbird) I was super disappointed for many years and still am. No optical out but it had a dvd/cd player. You could get the proprietary KWE-610A alpine optical cable for an extra $200. It didn't matter because it stopped reading discs after like 2-3 years though I never even really used it. DISC ERROR all the time. Nav unit had the worst outdated maps and street names ever. It came with a USB cable for downloadable updates which would have been great if it could be used. The initial cartridge and maps were so bad they couldn't fit the new maps on the original cartridge because it didn't have enough memory on board so the free updates became a $100 exchange for the updated unit. Old junk for the new junk. The maps were definitely better, but the bluetooth connection was super flakey. I had to pull over so many times while trying to answer and make calls. If it did work, everybody complained about echo, or i could hear them but they could not hear me.The voice commands didn't work on the Nav when I added the PXA-H701 so had to buy a special $100 module just for direction commands to be redirected to the processor so it could mix over the music. The USB loads memory sticks really really slowly, and when using it for Iphone or Ipod the USB skips every minute or so because of lag i guess. I currently still use it, but strictly for volume control and Left and Right inputs with AI-net to the processor. The GPS antenna rotted out on me twice and stopped getting signal. Read open circuit. Another $100 a piece. I was lucky though as I've heard of other problems with this unit if you could believe it. I vote the IVA-W505 the biggest failure of all the alpine Multimedia units.

Solid and affordable. Their gear is CEA Compliant so you can expect the amplifier to hit spec!
