That dude was consumed with the blackest depth of street life and it's many riches. Street life addiction is worse than a crack addiction. It took me a long time to shake that life. Now I'm a family man that gets up and go to work to support my family and it feels great. I feel so free.

His friends blocked his mom on social media and wouldn't answer her calls when she tried to get answers to find out what happened to her son. Still till this day his murder hasn't been solved. These streets have no friends. All the love these folks show is artificial. Whether it be over a woman or money, it be your own friends that take you out. Look how Tony killed Manolo in Scarface.

What I find surprising is how people feel that friendship means something when it comes to street business. Friends turn on each other everyday. Over money, over relationships, over gossip, over egos, over betrayal... Family is guilty of the same. People need to be realistic. There is no honor among thieves and criminals. There is no such thing as a fair fight nor a fair kill. Everyone has told something that they were asked to keep a secret. If the street code was really enforced many giving their opinions wouldn't be breathing to give one. May all learn through the mistakes of others and do better. You can't trust no one period. Some folks can't even trust themselves

Unless you grew up in Harlem at this time it would be difficult to understand what these dudes meant to street culture. So many of us was trying to be them. Alpo is only about 4 years older than me so to see him driving around my hood in a drop top foreign in '86, '87... or on their bikes, or in their jeeps, it was like seeing a celebrity. They used to pay us to get off the basketball court. They had it all and they got it first, the leather bombers, the sheep skins, the high top up towns, the girls. It was their flashy style that lives on in Hip Hop today. There was no way of telling in the late 80s that their end would be so ugly. So much betrayal, and so vicious. So sorry to see it go to that way.

The fact that he was able to freely talk about these murders without any distress is disturbing at best. He speaks openly as if it’s like child play or a competitive game of basketball. Bottom line is Alpo was super jealous. He had the killers killed. He killed everyone out of jealous not revenge or business. He used business as a cover up fir his own weakness. He didn’t want anyone to outshine him. And then, in his sick twisted ideology, felt that he could he buy off the family speaking ill of him or speaking of the murder all-together. It’s sick. He legit proposed paying $50k to each person who was openly speaking of his possible involvement in the murder of Rich Porter. Alpo was jealous narcissistic, OCD sociopathic serial killer

Alpo was very relaxed and comfortable telling the story about killing his friend. I can't even say I thought when a person kills they have nightmares, be sick or have regrets. He sounds like he feels absolutely no remorse. The sad thing is a lot of young dudes wants to be lot the old gangsters. But friends take you out, set you up. Folks always going to end up dead or in jail. It's the greediness that will get you in the end if you don't get out the game quick.

@@TomikaKelly it doesn’t necessarily work that way - it ain’t Reyes in Fast Five with 100k in a vault 😀. There is this thing of debtors and cash flow. It could be he was owed loads of cash from others he supplied or him having upfront paid for product. Who knows. We can only speculate. All academic now. And yeah, I imagine he had loads tied up in assets or just blew it. But let’s not forget - 1/2mil back then was big (still is today.) I couldn’t imagine people wanting that sort of cash sitting around not just because of robbery but it is dead money (that is value of it is being eroded) and why washing money is so important. All basics, but too often the basics get forgotten.
