This review was great, you covered everything. I bought this tent last fall and haven't used it yet, but I'm about to strap it to my motorcycle and head out and do some moto camping here in Canada and found your review 👍👍

Your review are actually better than most that I have seen. Good job. I like how you actually test all your products in real world conditions. The only thing I never see in my area are the monkeys that are sometimes seen on the fence in your videos. That would be a fun test to see. Tents that are monkey proof.

Great and detailed review as usual! Suggesting a tent for future review: Snow Peak Land Nest (it has a tent+tarp combo as well).

Thank you so much Kenneth! It means a lot to me that you like my reviews 🥰 Snow peak tents are a little bit out of my budget for now, but they're definitely something I wanna get into when I've got more cashflow! Thank you so much for the suggestion 🥰

Great review, thanks, I bought the 1 person version. Like you say it's a bit on the heavy side to be called a backpacking tent. I like your comparison videos, you really get analytical. I'd like to see your comparison of the best backpacking tents.

Hey Steve! Thanks so much for the input, suggestion, and the kind words as well. That means a lot to me! 🥰 Oh man I'm not a big backpacker for now though, I definitely do more family camping with friends and family rather than backpacking. But it's something I definitely wanna do more, so maybe next time! 😊

I do agree with you, this tent is't light, at this price and weight there are others alternatives. You did a really good review, keep it up!

Not seam sealing is a very bad cost cutting move IMHO, Alps should've done better. Even budget brands aren't skipping on that anymore. However once again, another very thorough and informative review from you. The rain test is a boon for people who live in the tropics.
@CampingGuidance Жыл бұрын
Hi Wer Kar! Thank you again for all your comments and support, it really means a lot 🥰 And I realized that even REI doesn't seal the seams when the rainfly is full length 😅 But Alps definitely should have tested it and then made the necessary changes for sure :/ Oooh which budget brands are you referring to? So far most of the budget brands I've tested don't have sealed seams (Coleman, Ozark), but there are probably others that I'm missing.

@@CampingGuidance Hey, I know the mainstream one's do do it 😅 I was actually referring to Teton Sports. That's a very good tent IMHO👍

@@Werkar27 Ah I agree!! That's a really great one. Let's see if I can find a tent next time that beats that one day 😉

Hi Liz! For some reason I haven’t seen your feed for awhile. Another great review:) if a pro like you has a difficult time packing the tent away you can bet you’d see shredded tent fabric flying around my camp when I’m going home due to my adhd powered tantrum. Keep up the great reviews!

Hi Kim! Welcome back! How have you been? Hmm and don't worry! Sometimes the KZbin algorithm changes, so the recommendation feed might change too. But I'm glad you're back! Hahaha aww and you're so sweet as always 🥰 Hahaha that's why I'm here though! To help you avoid the shredded tent fabric 😂

Do you have any Snow Peak tents or planned to review them?
@CampingGuidance Жыл бұрын
Hey Ivy! No, I currently don't have any Snow Peak tents, so sorry about that :( I'm probably not gonna be able to review them in the near future, but I definitely want to sometime in the further future, maybe a couple years from now 😊

Hey liz, what do you think about inflating beds at camping in tents? Do you prefer them over inflating pads?
@CampingGuidance Жыл бұрын
Hi Atakan! Thanks for the question! 😊 Hmm inflating beds as in air mattresses that you use a pump to inflate? Honestly, not a big fan of them. Not after I started using the Exped MegaMat. That's a self-inflating foam pad, which is WAY comfy and nothing I've come across so far has been better. Does this help? 😅 Feel free to let me know if you need more clarification on this!

You all have contact in Nigeria that I can buy from?
@CampingGuidance Жыл бұрын
Hi Janet! Oh man so sorry I don't have any contacts in Nigeria. I buy most of my tents from Amazon US. If they're not available in your country, you can always use a third party shipping company to get them shipped in too 😊

Thank you for another well done and informative video. I really like the vestibules at both ends for storage space, shade and ventilation. I'm actually surprised by how much splashing there was even with the rainfly almost touching the ground. Then again, may be their intended markets do not experience heavy flooding rain that lasts for hours. All in all, I think it is a pretty good tent for the price, despite a few shortcomings. As you said, a few yards of seam tapes would make it a perfectly serviceable tent. You mentioned that some of your viewers may have issue with the tent being made in China, but it is pretty much expected nowadays, especially for budget-friendly products. For a lot of people in North America, especially in the United States, "made in China" is equivalent to poor quality, when in fact China can make very good stuff. It is just a matter of whether they are willing to pay for it. I'm a fan of Anker.
@CampingGuidance Жыл бұрын
Thank YOU so much for your comments and input always! I really appreciate you 🥰 Hmm you might be right about their intended markets. Could explain why they might have put this tent through a less heavy rain test. Yeah!! I've actually read a lot of camping blogs and product reviews and some people really hate products that are made in China, so I was curious as to how folks would respond to this tent here. But yeah so many of the tents that I've tested are made in China actually, but with finer print hidden somewhere 😆 oh and thanks for the recommendation on Anker! I've never used it but I've seen the brand here quite often in Singapore. I think it's quite popular here.

can you please add centimeters too instead of only inces for us non americans.
@CampingGuidance10 ай бұрын
Hey thanks for the feedback! I'm not American either so actually I'm more familiar with centimeters myself 😅 I think I have the inches to cm conversion coming up on the screen though (although I don't say it out loud). Does that help?
