Because now it's Disney, not Walt Disney, who's making the content (I can't call them movies anymore😢). I remember watching his show on Sunday at 6pm, he'd be in his office telling us about what we were going to be seeing that night .. Charlie the Lonesome Cougar, The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh, the Three Lives of Thomasina, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes (with a teenage Kurt Russell)... THAT was why it was called the Wonderful World of Disney ❤❤❤

Good movie - it is a little bit closer to the real life of Johann Strauss Junior than the 1938 "The Great Waltz". In that movie, Hollywood created a fictional "Mrs. Strauss" and his opera singer wife Jetty became his extra-marital girl friend.

So are Emperor Waltz, Morning Paper Waltz, Accelerations Waltz, One Day When We Were Young. Vienna Blood, etc., --- these are not in the movie. I am surprise that the movie mentioned his brother Josef Strauss (who actually was the Engineering Manager for the City of Vienna). Sadly, the last decent film made by actor Kerwin Mathews, everybody's favorite childhood fantasy hero (Jack the Giant Killer, 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Gulliver, etc). After The Waltz King, he knocked around Europe for a few years, then returned to America but could only find work in low-budget junk (Boy Who Cried Werewolf, Octa-man!, etc) before giving it up to run his famous antique store Pierre Deux in San Francisco. After his big heyday (late 50's/early 60's) , things just never worked out for Mathews, always a modest, unassuming and very professional guy. LR

Seven weeks later? Wow. It sounds like they didn't bother to grieve, as though they didn't love or miss them or experience any sense of loss.
@cacatr44952 жыл бұрын
@@melianna999 Maybe so, but grief takes time, and they didn't even wait 6 months to remarry. Regardless of when they had met, grief is so demanding that it simply takes time to process. It seems clear that they had miniscule grief. Maybe their first was an abusive shrew such that they didn't miss them (for good reason), or maybe their heart was shallow such that they didn't feel loss. We don't know; it is notable though.
