Rodney T set any paddle for only running and X button or A for bouncing so that all your fingers to be in all buttons and working together while you are playing .. I play claw alternate with the regular control but the noisy thing about it that running after bouncing kind of slow .. because bouncing button is A button which is seperate than the running X button which is good but in the same time kind of bad because you need to shift your index finger to the runing after bouncing and vice versa

An elite is better but if you're beast already on default the switch to classic alt is going to be tough I've been playing on classic alt for about 3 weeks now and I'm still trying to adapt to the new angles I have to aim my left joystick to be able to bounce otherwise your character will just stand there and not bounce even if you pressed A to slide, see on default you can aim your character towards the wall at any angle and as long as your within bouncing distance your character will bounce or roll if you were not at the right distance lol but on classic alt if you don't aim your joystick at the right angle sometimes your character will not slide and just stand there, or at least that's what happens to me sometimes not as much now as in the beginning though, and once you get use to it, it feels as if your bouncing distance is increased.
