ALTA VIA 1 | 5 Tips & Tricks

After an 8-day hike through the Italian Dolomite, my friend Jonathan and I have seen some real nature beauty. Nevertheless, we also had our difficulties and the occasional casualties which came on our path. Thanks very much-just completed the AV1-it was fantastic. One further tip I would add would be to stay at Dobbaico rather than Cortina as it means that you will be at Lago di Brias much earlier on your first day

So what happens if you DONT book? can they turn you away? make you sleep outside?? I plan to do it soon with no bookings, but i am just 1 person and in these corona times im sure it will not be busy...

They won't turn you away but you might end up sleeping on the floor!

How many days did it took for you to complete AV1? I've read somewhere somebody completed it in just 4.5 days.

We did it in 8 days. You can go faster but we rather wanted to take our time. :)
