*Dolt montage tack vare infästning i brädans sidor.

Hej.

This nailing system is pure garbage. Fine if you are shooting dead flat timber with no knots, twists, bows, or minor cupping, but as soon as you have any of the above the nature of the fastener doesn't provide any clamping force to hold the board tight against the joist. You literally need to stop every shot and lever and clamp the boards to keep them straight. Additionally the spacers are inaccurate due to the nature of the nails holding the inside down, and causing the outside to lift up off the joist. When the next row is fired the board lifts off creating irregular gaps between boards adding to creep in long sections and leaving air between the joist and board, which can't be remedied. Also if a knot lands on a joist and you are required to fit a fastener, you need to do as they have done with a butt joint here and fit additional timber to the joist to avoid shooting it, or the fastener will either blow out the knot causing a hole in the board, splitting the board or glancing off the knot and not holding anything at all. Don't get me started with nailing next to a house. The gun is so huge you can't fire it in to a board if running parallel to a building closer than 400mm. So the first 3 rows have to be screwed. Boards running perpendicular or at 90° can't be fastened closer than 100mm to the adjacent wall. This system is only any good in laboratory conditions or for those who don't care about the longevity or if you want to avoid visible screws at any cost. In the real world with real timber you will find that there are methods of fastening with screws in the normal way that are as fast when accounting for all the variables you need to consider when using this product out of a laboratory, Screwing simply provides a better result that is tried and tested and will last.
