You make a very good point, Christeljes! It would be edifying if the author or someone else would be so inclined as to depict a 7 foot basketball player holding a weaver’s beam in his large hand. If my understanding of the gigantic structure of Goliath is correct, the player would find it too thick (the thickness of the thickest part of a baseball bat) for it to be practical.

It also highlights the point that when Almighty God gives instructions as it pertain to Worship and how it is supposed to be rendered, he is just as specific and detailed in his word the Bible. Hence the reason the Jews kept getting punished for their disobedience and disloyalty to God and his laws and instruction….stranded in the wilderness for 40 year, the destruction of Jerusalem and don’t leave out the execution of God’s Son Jesus Christ who he sent save his people specifically and they rejected their own…the chosen Messiah. There are consequences for defying God’s Law and exercise disobedience🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️. Almighty God was very detailed and specific in his instruction when it came to building the Ark of the Covenant and was very detailed and specific in his instruction on how sacred worship was to be rendered by the Jewish people. So it is expected and required of us today that when we worship…we are to render sacred service to our One True God (Deuteronomy 4:35; 💎Exodus 34:14)…church goers!!! 💎1 Corinthians 8:6; 💎1 Timothy 2:3-5, MEANING… WE WORSHIP OUR ALMIGHTY GOD NOT….NOT….NOT HIS SON JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD (💎Hebrews 4:14). Church goers are worshiping and praying to who they feel like praying to worshiping when Jesus told Satan exactly who is to be worshiped when Satan attempted to have Jesus bow down to him and worship him 💎Luke 4:8. We are to worship our Almighty God and NOT our Mighty God just as the Bible instructs us to do….CHURCH GOERS!! STOP worshiping how you all see fit by and what you all believe or think is good, righteous and holy in God’s eyes. PRAY TO OUR ONE TRUE GOD AS JESUS TOLD US TO DO IN HIS (Jesus) NAME AT 💎John 16:23. Shittim is pronounced shee-teem’ in Hebrew and is used to designate a desert acacia tree known throughout Egypt and the Near East (see Smith, Dictionary of the Bible, s.v. “shittah tree, shittim,” pp. 624-25). Because its hard wood endured well and also took a high polish, it was ideal for the construction of the tabernacle.

interesting watching these videos online to get a clearer picture of all these things! i wonder how they offered sacrifices directly onto the fire or perhaps some meat was placed in ‘fire pans’ to be cooked. for some reason i always imagined the Altar like a bbq with a metal plate but that wouldnt work. interesting another video shows the grate on the sides which might have been as well as the verse about the rings being on the grate?

Yea, there is a lot of debate on how to interpret the grate on the sides. I went with a bit more traditional design but we just don’t know with how vague the text is on this part.
